From the IAAF site site.

Amazing gap between Bolt and Gay (considering he's the 2nd quickest 100m ever after that race).  Then again, with feet like that Bolt does have an unfair advantage.

I wouldn't be putting my house on any record being truly legal in athletics in the last 30 years to be frankly honest.

Really?

None of Paula's records?  What about Bekele, Gebrselassie, Aouita, El Guerrouj, Ovett, Cram, Coe?

Yeah i am not 100% sure about any of them, given the amount of people found out at a later date and the pure temptation of taking a certain drug is bound to increase your chances of fame and attaining your life goals.

I am pretty sure it goes in sports where we don't even consider drugs as a big problem, tennis for example.

I think that it's pretty easy to identify certain athletes as dodgy and, equally, others are being legitimate because there is some other, obvious, reason for their great performances.

It's only relatively recently that many East African athletes (who are born with an advantage in long-distance running) were exposed to Western standards of nutrition and training, which has enabled them to fulfill their true potential. Michael Johnson and Usain Bolt have a totally different build and much more efficient running style than other runners.

Other records being broken are only slightly better than those before, which you will get as nutrition and training methods get better.

Fraser with an amazing start in the 100m gives her the gold and the fastest legal time in history.  Very impressive.
FYP

flo jo was legal, the wind thing only counts if it's a couple of one hundreths imo, when you smash the record by 1/2 a second then the wind cant inpact that much plus i dont think she was ever convicted of drugs?

Lol fuck off Bolt.

You crack me up.

Flo-Jo improved her 100m time by half a second in a year, then retired just before the IAAF introduced mandatory drug-testing, that was why she never failed a test.

This.

Agreed - he has the potential to win everything. Jumping 18m should be his goal next year.
