10/11 - Denver -14
They're playing Oakland, says it all really.
I love Denver put there's no way I'd put money on them -14.
and Oakland have been improving, from the depths, for 5-6 weeks now
Would want to be on Oakland big time with a 14 point start.
[ ] I had a chance to back this up with cash. Sigh.

That was a good call Rich and the analysis that Ware chasing Bree's would be the turning point in the Saints game was spot on too.

gl rookie,
No bet for me tonight unless I spot something in the side markets.
In the last 5 weeks Washington have turned into one of my favourite teams to bet on as they have improved since they took the offense play calling away from coach Zorn and gave it to someone else. Zorn had basically zero confidnece in Campbell at QB and the lack of mutual confidence spread all thru the team, the new guy calling the plays has called great games recently and with Zorn 99% likely to get the sack after the season the players seem to now have a freedom about them they didnt have when he was fully in charge.
The problem is in the last five weeks they have covered when getting 4 from Denver, 11 from Dallas, 9 1/2 from Philly, 9 1/2 from New orleans and beat Oakland in a scratch game last week. This week they are only getting 3 from a team that would rank fractionally behind teams they were getting 11 and 9 1/2 from only a few weeks ago, so even tho I expected to be with Washington again this week I am not sure that +3 is a bet number. I should really bet the plus 3 cos in my mind they could easily win the game tonight but I was expecting a few more points.
One other thing is where teams like the Saints going to cold exposed grounds like Washington from their super quick indoor dome is a problem the Giants play in very similar conditions at their ground too so won't be affected by the cold weather or wind 2night as they usually play in those conditions.

Cheers mate,
Yeah I dunno whether I would be having a bet if it wasn't for chasing on the weekend, you gotta try and get out lol.
I thought the same as you tbh, I agree Washington have definitely become a better team of late but I also think that this is too big a game for Giants tonight and as you said with the weather it shouldnt be affecting the Giants really.

I had a double last Thursday on Tampa +7 and Giants -3.
I need it to bink but obviously concerned with Washington coming in in price and also the details Bobby mentioned.

The thing that was very noticeable this weekend was the poor Offensive Line play of both the Saints and the Vikings
Offensive Line is not a glamorous position but its pretty vital. It's not an accident that Left tackles, pass rushers and cornerbacks are the premium positions in drafts picked very early, QBs aside.
In the New Orleans team the LT against Ware was a turnstile, Brees was sacked four times and in the play offs the Saints have to beat the pass rush of Allen (Vikings) Ware (Cowboys) Cole (Eagles) depending on the seedings
In their last three games the score is 77-76 to Saints opponents and I just do not see them as Superbowl favourites from the NFC with the OL struggling and have sold them on the 100 index spread.
I see it more with the Vikings with that superb defense but looking at what Peppers did to LT McKinnie last night I am beginning to wonder, 9/1 is a very decent e/w price though
Best Superbowl odds. I think bobby1 likes GreenBay. I like the Cardinals to go deep in the play offs, based on the certainty of them hosting a wild card team and then hoping they upset one of the big two
In the AFC, the Bengals at a price to me based off their defense. No disgrace to lose by three to the Chargers away after the week they had. See no value in the Colts, and the Chargers are hot now and represent much better value but the price has shifted a lot already. Hence looking at alternatives. Bengals, assuming they hold off the Ravens, for me
Indianapolis Colts 3 Totesport
New Orleans Saints 3 Paddy Power
San Diego Chargers 11/2 Sky Bet
Minnesota Vikings 9 Betfred
Philadelphia Eagles 10 Paddy Power
New England Patriots 12 Ladbrokes
Arizona Cardinals 18 Sky Bet
Dallas Cowboys 25 Sky Bet
Green Bay Packers 28 Skybet
Baltimore Ravens 33 Betfred
Cincinnati Bengals 33 Betfred
NFC
New Orleans Saints 6/5 Totesport
Minnesota Vikings 7/2 Boylesports
Philadelphia Eagles 6 Betfred
Arizona Cardinals 8 Sky Bet
Dallas Cowboys 12 Sky Bet
Interestingly the NFC playoffs are set to take place virtually all in domes...Vikings, Saints, Cardinals, Cowboys..only the Eagles an exception to this, with Green Bay unlikely to host a game
In the AFC the Colts are the only Dome team, thus a lot of winter weather outside games. Defence and Running game wins in those. Bengals. Two class cornerbacks, great linebackers and Cedric Benson pounding it up the middle.

Great write up Rich and I have been against the Saints in 3 of the last 4 weeks for mainly the same reasons. The have bottomed out in my eyes and seem really banged up at RB and I really believe they would be a better team without Reggie Bush in their backfield because when he is there the opponents know it almost certain to be a pass. Nobody in the league is worried about him as a RB now.
At the prices it was Arizona I liked as they are a match on offense againt the two teams likely to be ranked above them in the NFC and as you say its very likely that they will be playing shootout games in domes all the way thru the play offs. I think their D is getting stronger too and the top two seem to be struggling as we saw this weekend. It might prove to be too tough a run of games but at the prices I would much rather be on them at 21 on Betfair than either Minny or the Saints.
The one problem could be if Philly sneak the 2nd seed as that will be a tough place to go thru the winter and they are currently winning the tie breaker against Minny tho they need to overcome a one game deficit for it to count.

I like the saints more now they have lost TBH, the entire O-Line was carrying an injury against Dallas and i wouldn't be surprised to see them just rest anyone with a hint of injury and be fighting fit for the playoffs.
I am not feeling so bad about the Pats again though, might just get it together again afterall.
