It's a good job that he never caught Flushy and me cheating Jones in the £1/£1 limit game then

Woodsy the whole tournament is a massive joke, people playing from other peoples stacks, mucking about, playing like idiots and trying to lose your chips sharpish is the norm
that would certainly explain the way you played your A3

If he wants to take it as seriously as he has then he obviously is just in the wrong place.
I've never really spoken to the guy, but have played against and read his posts and clueless about poker/people is an understatement. The guy is on a different planet.
I think this thread shows a lot of spirit and support for the blondes he has been accusing of cheating. None of whom would dream of doing this at a normal tournament. Just like I would never dream of playing against someone who was sat playing with their mates chips.
Tom, I dont think it really is mob mentallity, I think its more just internet forum mentality, its very hard for things not to turn out like this on a forum.
I think I probably agree with this post.
Perhaps mob mentality was the wrong choice of words, but I hope some of you will understand what I was getting at.

I think everyone gets what you mean Tom, on an issue such as game integrity and the integrity of others it is easy for people to get riled.
Game integrity is utmost in all 'serious' games but I got the impression the bbashs were to take the piss out of kinboshi?

Better get my two penneth in before bed
I was the organiser of this event, as it turned out, as one of the few mods able to make it this time and the person who had done the preparation for it with Alea.
After the event, immediately after the final table concluded, Bainn asked to have a word with me privately at which point he expressed the concerns he subsequently wrote in his blog. I listened and made two points to him that many have made
a) Mention it to a TD or Organiser at the time and I, for example, could have a quiet word with those causing concern without mentioning the names of who it was causing concern to.
b) For many the bash is a social weekend, where the poker is of secondary importance to most, and where "fun and games" takes the place of the usual tournament behaviour, especially early on in the day
We parted on good terms, and I know both he and Helen enjoyed the day, said complementary things about the event and the venue etc and I also told him I was disappointed that something had spoiled his enjoyment of the event.
I was therefore disappointed that the matters we had discussed were then written on his blog on the Monday.
Since then we have communicated privately and amicably, agreed to differ in a few areas etc.
I also accept that not everyone of the 85 or so runners we had is a "dyed in the wool" blonde aware of the fun traditions of these but Bainn and Harmony, as blonde bash veterans of at least several each, for sure knew what to expect of the events.
I take the view, having only heard one side of the story (Bainn's) and knowing the individuals involved that the events he took offence too are far more likely to be "japes" than "cheating". However I'm not going to be able to do anything to resolve that difference of view if only told post-competition
It's also not surprising that matters get more serious when we're down to the last few tables. Even then, I think the majority of those left in are after Silo Graham's trophy than the cash!
Anyway, I ramble. On the OP point, I think the community spirit on the forum is pretty resilient and present in a lot of areas not always visible.

ah I've read Blonde before but didn't sign up until recently so not been around in time to even read up on Blonde Bashs. Just had time to read Toms diary and I've only just found the two forums underneath analysis and all the games!.
oh and I am an
unwelcome but
delightfully handsome and recognisable face to many that are regulars at DTD.
So you never know may turn up at one in the future.
