the gap between bb7 and 8 was purely financial. We weren't in a position to do one first half of 09, were struggling to stay afloat and had no time to organise it or money to put to it
Touch wood, those concerns aren't present when it comes to planning another bash.

I got the impression the bbashs were to take the piss out of kinboshi?
no need to wait for a bash for that - the forum is open 365 days a year
Good just checking.
I'm pretty new here but that was the first thing I picked up on
get yourself to the next bash - you'll fit in nicely. Hopefully less of a wait between bashes this time......
ah I've read Blonde before but didn't sign up until recently so not been around in time to even read up on Blonde Bashs. Just had time to read Toms diary and I've only just found the two forums underneath analysis and all the games!.
oh and I am an
unwelcome but
delightfully handsome and recognisable face to many that are regulars at DTD.
So you never know may turn up at one in the future.
Sure hope so...
Just be happy in the knowledge that i'm sitting open limping and then aggressively mucking out of turn pre flop in a limped pot to keep my winrate and tight image up

It's a good job that he never caught Flushy and me cheating Jones in the £1/£1 limit game then
Ha yeah forgot that, playing lowball and jones had like 2nd nuts, i was folding my hand and saw i had the 2 cards Ralph needed to make the nuts, obv a quick switch was done without anyone noticing (we sure were subtle) pretty com when Ralph raised on the last betting round and Jones just cried a little bit and looked proper dev'd as he lost the pot.
Good times.

The "conversation" referred to in the blog pretty much goes like this from what Joobs can remember:
Drunk Duke remarks about the number of chips.
Sober Joobs tells him its a double chance
Drunk Duke says something along the lines of "it doesnt matter if we go all in then on the blinds, if i win then feck it, if you win you have my chips and I can go to the bar!"
On the first round - it gets folded to them in the blinds. Neither shoves pre. They play it properly and Ger lays down, according to Bainn, a good hand to an all in raise on the river by Joobs. What Bainn has no idea about is that Joobs and Ger have been playing each other a lot since I moved back up north and as such, play a lot of home games there. She attends and plays as well. They know each others games pretty well and neither player is an idiot.
As it happened, Joobs pretty much had the nuts and Ger made a very good fold. Bainn does not know this and as such, has interpreted it wrongly.
The thing that has really pissed me off is that not once did he speak up to Ger, Joobs, or even myself. When he approached Tighty, I was talking to Tighty about the photos from the day, so he easily could have asked me what was going on.
The man he really should have spoken to though, is Ironside. After all, all 4 of them were on the same damn table when this happened...

aberdeen in january is all igloos and 24 hour darkness isn't it?
Precisely. Someone tell him no one will go to Aberdeen for a blonde bash. He doesn't listen to me
maybe a couple of years ago, but times are too tight for many atm. Coventry a good shout imo.
This is the most complementry thing said about Coventry for about 50 years imo.

So true. 'Tis a pretty casino though.

It's all part of your metagame strategy imo. Very clever...

Sorry for the confusion Monda!
He is mainly moaning about the £30, but when reading his blog I almost fell off my chair when I realised he 'thought Harmony had out played the rest of the table at a tighty sit'n'go'
Thats how little the man knows, he thought it was a game of skill. Not a game of 'Im tighty who shall i set up this hand'
