so bB9 will be in brighton then?
the venue doesn't want us. Cardroom manager yes, casino manager No. I blame Flushy and Dubai.
which venue is it that doesn't want us, rv, grosvenor or both?
rv. Grosvenor is a toilet, but the staff are nice.

rv. Grosvenor isn't a great venue
RV manager is a tosser of the highest order. I will never go there again while he is in charge.

Are the cheats peasants/on the dole?
Cheating in a friendly game is LOL bad
They are actually now being referred to as 'cheating scum'. Which seeing as they did not cheat could be a bit ott.

Just caught up with the comments. Not nice at all. I had hoped that he might take a step back, read the comments on his blog and elsewhere and realise he'd over-reacted and, maybe, possibly, proffer an apology.
It all just very sad, from every angle.

I have resisted any replies to what I feel is a silly reaction to an innocent situation. Whatever was said in conversation was said light heartedly and in jest. There was no “cheating” or attempts at same. If he was upset at what he perceived was a problem he could have said something at the time
I was keeping out of this because it is silly and futile and quite frankly not worth the effort.
It does hurt me to be branded but I am not really that bothered, if he wasn’t honest enough to try and clarify the situation as it happened he doesn’t deserve either my time or effort.
However even by his standards “cheating scum” is a scandalous statement and one that will not be easily forgotten.
The problem is that people are saying the situation happened because of drink. However the situation did not even happen as he has stated drink invloved or not.
I thank all the people who believe that I would not do that either with or without drink and I am drawing a line under it as it not worth it.

Was planning a trip to A'dam later this year. Worth one last visit to pay my respects?
I used to travel a lot to the Netherlands. Always flew to Amsterdam and then taxi to Apeldoorn. Like 70 miles taxi, quite expensive but I was not paying. One day, after being in Apeldoorn for a week, was preparing to leave the factory, asked secretary to get me a taxi to take me to Schiphol. Secretary said thats expensive, why dont you get the train. Told me how good it was an would only be 20 Euros for First Class... I screwed up my nose, train, I dont do trains. Not on company expenses... But she convinced me, and even took me there in case the train ticket person did not speak English.. I got a 1st class ticket... Got pointed to the correct platform and told 15 mins...
Train arrived... Got on, First class, have a room with like 6 seats in it... I had already surveyed the map on the wall at the station, how many stations etc, what they are all called... I knew that the train before Schiphol is called Amsterdam Central... It is maybe 1 hr in total, I have plenty of time... We got to Amsterdam Central, sat there for maybe 10 mins, and the train pulled out... But it went back out same way we came in... I am thinking, maybe we go out that way, and round in a large arc to the airport, I knew in general the direction to the airport... A guard came to check my ticket... Where are you going sir..? Airport.. No you are not we are heading for Amersfoort... No no, I said, I got on at Apeldoorn and my first station was Amersfoort.. Yes sir, he agreed with me. That is like 40 minutes to Amersfoort? Yes he said... I explained i was directed to the correct train platform by station staff... Yes sir, you got the correct train, but, if you remember while at Amersfoort, the wait there was 5 to 10 mins... yes, I said... Well sir, the train had split into 2 halves at that station and the rear half went to Schiphol...!! OMG, I am going to miss my flight and it is the last flight tonight...
I did get off the train at Amersfoort and change to another train that took 70 mins to get to the airport stopping at every stupid station it could have stopped at, I got to the airport 20 mins after it had departed, so I had to check into airport hotel and contact BA to get me on the 8:00am flight..
Not one of my best experiences of trains.. Wont do them again if I can help it..!!
But you were comfy whilst in that train, no?
