It's not a trick question. You travel 1 mile at 1 mph and 1 mile at 100 mph.
I was talking to someone about averages and he asked me.
He explained that averages could be misleading. i.e. if you stand with one foot in a bucket of boiling water, and one foot in a bucket of ice water, you should, on average, be comfortable.

Yes. Surprisingly, (To me anyway) your average speed in less than 2 mph. Why surprising? You've travelled 2 miles. For it be to faster than 2mph you'd have to do that in less than an hour. But it took you an hour to get up the hill. |
