A Weekend's Gambling Diary
«
on:

I really enjoyed Flushy tournament diary last month so I thought if anyone was interested I might do a diary of a busy weekend's gambling.. (Horse Racing. Football and NFL)
I don't usually make targets but if I can nick 3k over the next couple of days I might well play the heads up at the Vic next week, so that's the aim.
Probably won't have time to explain most of the bets, but I will leave nothing out win/lose or draw.

I kinda like Sheff Weds, but had them in at 21/10 which means I need at least 3.3 before backing them and I doubt it will get that big..
Prob trade it in running, but anyways, will start diary tomorrow.

Should be good imo, will read it with interest.
How are you at handling losing runs Keith?

Pretty good, used to tilt like mad, especially when I was unlucky with a bet (had two horses beaten which traded at 1.01 yesterday and I would have been mad 20 years ago). but now I just take the good with the bad and hopefully at the end of the year I've made a few quid.

There's one horse running tomorrow which I really think has a huge future, and the race it's in has a great shape for betting so it could be a lump on.. but we shall see what happens with the betting (and hopefully the self certificates don't get used so we can get 1/4 1,2,3,4)
A couple of football matches really appeal strongly too, but early days.
Oh and there's a horse at Newbury which could well turn out to be a monster lay for me.
