don't know whether to comment or not coz I've got not idea if you guys are being serious! Presuming it's all just banter and that no one really expects Kev to cough up.

OK, well on the presumption that at least some of you are being serious, I'll say my bit. No doubt everyone will jump up and say they were joking and that I'm a miserable old cow with no sense of humour. Whatever.
It's pretty obvious that Kev was bidding on these shoes to help you guys out with the auctions, and all the chat on here about bagging himself some cheap shoes was tongue in cheek. Anyone that knows Kev also knows he'd never fuck anyone over, never mind openly deride them whilst he's doing it. This bloke has also, let's not forget, put a shit load into this place with the mods stuff (which he does for nothing), updating, and his excellent support on the cardroom (which he does for, I presume, not very much). What started out, and continued as, a really fun thread has taken a rather uncomfortable turn in the last couple of days.
It may be pennies to some of you guys, but I'm pretty sure £95 is a heck of a chunk of cash for Kev, especiallly this close to Christmas. Let's not screw the guy that was trying to help out and got his fingered burned.

I agree with Clare, i'm sure a lot of it, if not all of it is tongue in cheek, but we have all made a small profit and had a good laugh along the way.
I say let Kev have the shoes for the offer he has made.

The original £95 offer or the new and improved (for Kev anyway) offer?

Not really bothered about the money, it's the principle. I don't like being fcked over whether it be for £5 or £5000.
Obviously the fairest solution would be for an impartial observer to read this thread and decide what should happen and for both sides to agree to go with that.
Doubt Kev will agree to that.
So whatever.

If he actually wants the pair of shoes I would sell them at face value.
But thats just me personally. Not too sure about the other investors.
I am pretty sure he was trying to help us rather then screw us over.
If he doesnt want them. Then we will have to relist them.
I think its gone abit ott.
Does anyone want to use all the profits on larry the lobster?

I am an impartial observer, Kev is a good friend.
AFAIC, this is a mistake by Kev, I was agreeing with him until I realised that these were listed correctly, he should paiii what he bid now though.
Having said that, I know that alot of buyers on Ebay also back out, so wouldn't blame him for doing this - only thing that makes this harder for him is that you know who he is unlike the other buyers.

kev i'll give you 25-1 that it doesnt hold
Sighhhhhh ... I dont expect to get them, I am only bidding less than purchase price on any of them ... so I can relist them when all the others have gone and stick it in Blatch's eye.

FML outbid already
Quote from: Colchester Kev on November 22, 2009, 07:11:43 PM
went back in with a 69.99 but insta outbid
[ ] you were biding to help the guys out
[X] you were biding to try and make a profit out of the the guys loss
gg kev
To be honest, all those statements prove that I was bidding on or UNDER the sale price, quite openly !!
I was informed on this thread that the ones I bid on were a cost price of £99 when in fact they were a cost of only £49 ... so all those statements above confirm that I wouldn't have bid £95 had I been aware of the true cost price.

The above has surprised me, I truly cannot see how you could possibly think you are being "fcked over" ... I sent ALL the members of the syndicate a PM this afternoon explaining everything, those that have replied have been understanding and accepting of the explanation... which is as clear as crystal to me, but obviously not everyone sees it that way.
To have my integrity and character savaged by people I thought of as friends over this has cut deep, and what started out as a good fun thread has left a very sour taste in my mouth.
I will stand the £95 and I have certainly learnt a lot from this experience... none of it good.
Blatch I will pay you cash at DTD on the £300 weekend if thats OK, as I don't have a paypal account ... will drop you a PM re address for postage etc.
