It's a shame that this has turned into a farce.
The standard Broadway setup is usually spot on and generally the everyday comps offer good value.
Hey they got it wrong but it's still the best place in Midlands to play next to DTD.

Good luck George

I mention to them before that they ought to tie up with an online cardroom and run some sats for these 100K events.

Good idea.

Any updates? I like the sound of people withdrawing with me having a nice stack after 1a.

So so sick.

Me thinks they won't have a guarantee on again.

I think you're right. Maybe should have made the buy in a monkey like Circus did last year.

Wow. Only just caught up on all of this.

First of all, massive RESPECT to John Eames and Matt and anyone else that withdrew through principle, particularly because they were withdrawing from an increasingly financially profitbale situation.

It's a pretty depressing (and suicidal) reaction from the casino, but more than made up for by the admirable reaction of these players.

Feeling pretty guility about having played Day 1A, and going back for day 2. But then I only have 10k, so not that guilty!

Props to eames. Man of his principles. All me Perrins and cody I think it was could think of was the edge and +EV. I was thinking about backing out but with backers involved I couldn't make that decision. The casino really have shot themselves in the foot. Cant see them running another successful festival. People just have so much choice now and with stars and Grosvenor running a tour and DTD running some stella events it could be gg broadway

I'm pretty certain if I had been there I would have kicked up a fuss, withdrawn my money, started winding other people up to get them to withdraw their money, then when they alll left reregistered and gone "weeeeeeeee overlay" - so well done Eames et al for having principles.

I think the worst thing about this farce is how blatant the Broadway seem to have been about it, I have heard of people doing this before when an overlay is imminent but you dont expect the paying players to hear about it from the staff on the casino floor.

Just shows how subtle DTD were about it when they had a huge overlay.

I wouldn't have walked out tbh. An overlay is an overlay and with my commercial hat on I would have loved to have played this. This is the first time I've heard poker players be righteous about added value.
