I pass, for this kind of sat spot we are still relatively deep so there is time for people to make god awful mistakes. Also you aren't the first to blind out as well which is important so it isn't on you to make the first move.

Plus a9s isn't in good shape when you get called and the majority of the table behind you can afford to call.

Yeah my strat in these sats is usually to be an absolute rock although I'm not usually quite so short.

The god awful mistakes are very common Smiley

A4 vs KQ AIPF is not uncommon despite short stacks being everywhere.

Depends on how the three big stacks are playing - they are the three players to the right of the other shorty. If at least one of them is going to pressure him every hand then he'll find it difficult to get chips. But if they've all gone to sleep to fold to a seat he could start getting walks, which is bad for you.

With seven left and 6 seats I don't like shoving with four people behind me.

Easy shove

YOu are free rolling as you have 109 locked up

your M = 4 - so I assume you are a shorty. YOu are paying the blinds every 5 hands on a 7 handed table.

Unless there are like 6 people with 1BB - this is a shove - you are by no measn guaranteed a seat and have good equity with your hand to pick up 1/3 of your current stack.

Easy shove.

If you are on the bubble and not short - you can fold - but not here

Noregrets is the BB with 6 bigs left after this hand ... PASS every time in this spot.

yes - but now i'm reading it right - if he shove successfully next hand then we will be shorty

THis is a really tight spot, if the SB had like 12k - i think it totally changes the dynamic of the hand.

The problem is - he doesnt - he can easy spite call and it doent affect his game position

Noregrets is the BB with 6 bigs left after this hand ... PASS every time in this spot.

He is if someone raises. If they don't then he's on the same stack as me and the blinds hit me next.

He also has the option of shoving in to my blind in a few hands when they go up which will put me in a really bad spot.

Normally this would be quite an easy fold but with only having 2 short stacks it was quite a tough one I thought.

If I've got a few more chips, even 1 orbits worth more than oppo I fold but it seemed like a reasonable shove at the time.

If I shove and get it through I'm on 6k, oppo's on 4k and in the SB so I'm firmly in the driving seat.

I just wonder how many more chances I'm going to get that are as good as this one. I know that satellites are about survival but given chip stacks it's likely that we can't just fold to the seat. Yes we can force oppo to push first and hope he loses but what if he wins? I'm then on dust with no chance at all.

At least here I'm putting the blind with the most to lose under the most pressure. I've got limited FE against the other stacks and next time it gets round to shorty I'll be down to 3.6k with the blinds at 400/800 assuming my next blind squeezes in before 400/800 obv.

That's only 7 hands away. Am I likely to see a better hand in a pot folded to me?

I don't think it's quite so easy a fold as others are saying.

SB doesn't seem the sort. Looks like he's gone to sleep.

Sumar07 is still surprisingly active though so is a danger. Doesn't seem like a caller though, he is a raiser.

So what did you do ?

I reckon you timebank folded, which would have told everyone else at the table that you are a nit and they then proceeded to bully you mercilessly until you were forced to make a stand with Q9 blue ... which got outdrawn by the obligatory call with 10 8 off.

Am i right ? Cheesy
