whats the hoivoid hsp debacle?

When I arrived Tuesday evening there was a $300/$600 FL $25k sit-down Stud game in the back of the cardroom and I spotted Andreas there with Barry Greenstein and a few other high-rollers. I was speaking to one of the dealers the next day and she said that he "didn't do very well"

We got chatting in the crazy Friday night game and he said that he lost $200k in the HSP and "never hit one flop" so he couldn't be arsed to play any of the V events after that. Expensive trip for him but he was still great fun to play with.

gogogogogogo the Shalsonator!!!

oh and this....

what happened with hoivoid and the HSP

assuming they did a galfond on him

No idea Trigg and wtf is a Galfond?

On series 2 I think of HSP Phil Galfond was invited and then had to wait all day to get in the game and wasn't able to play a fraction of what he was told he would despite moving $700k cash out there.

I played yesterday as well and got nowhere. Played three of these so far and managed my best result yesterday of making level 6. Though I didn't buy-in until ten minutes before the end of level 3. Nothing noteworthy - reshipped 99 with 9.5k at 300/600 and other guy had AA.

Reiterating what Floppy said, fields are really tez - on Friday I was the youngest at my starting table by about 30 years.

After burning $550 on the deepstack yesterday I went back to the MGM and set fire to $665 playing cash. Seeing as up to that point my cash winnings so far were $664 this now means I'm down a buck.

Will go down to rail Ralph later on.

Just one minor thing is that I don't have an ITIN thingy although the floorman at the V said that it only takes a day or so to process and there would be no problem retrieving any deduction. Does anyone have any advice for getting one sorted in the next few hours ?

Blatant 'I'm going to get the lot in the deepstack' brag post IMO.
