I wish I could award points for Sir Donksalot's second at the Circus Circus Festival but it's the G Casino Luton 2009 blondeite league, not the Any Casino Luton 2009 blondeite league. UL Sir.

David Tearle might want to consider extra security around his trophy cabinet for the next few weeks. Judging by what I've heard from Nick Salad, he may be in for a late-night plundering visit.

Another pisspoor turnout for the Sunday Ton at Luton     ......       with the old 4pm start there were 80/100 runners       ......      the 5.30pm start has done 'wonders' for the numbers!

Compare     .....      Blackpool      .....       3pm kick off on a Saturday       .......       199 runners (attracting the likes of Steve Holden, James Browning, Dave Mauldin etc.)       .....      £5950 to the winner      ......     £3530    to 2nd.

So, which 'G'  has got it right?

The 'AWOPPERS' in Lancs seem to get what the players want       ......        strange dat!

September - no Tourneys for me all month Chomps!

I may be able to play a little more in October, if there are any Structures which appeal, though that will not include Two-Table £20 Rebuys or Self-Deal nonsense.

You is right Luther, the 5.30pm start time does seem to have slowed things down. That said, there's a lot of competition in the sarrrrrf at the moment, with the Vic stuff and Metrolpole stuff and the Circus Circus stuff.
As soon as the festivals in London finish and the clocks go back an hour numbers will defo pick up again imo.

Nowt to do with The Vic etc      ......       the turnouts have been crap for months      ......         back in March Sunday's were attracting 60 to 90 players       .......           the 'downturn' coincided with the changed start time      .....        maybe someone ought to point out to the G that we're poker players - not phuqqin Farmers!

Prefer 5.30pm, and told them that. Blame me. Seems I am in a minority though, so 4pm seems right. I do think events elsewhere have an impact. There were over 10 regs at the Circus yesterday afternoon for example.
