What did Darvin do with my chips?
50% of your range was 9/3o and 50% of your range was 93s. Obv if you are offsuit, I am correct to pass and avoid the mystical powers. However, I correctly deduced that you were sooooted and made the correct call. Hope the door didn't hit you on the arse on the way out, innit.
First off all I flopped a set, then I got it in with jacks against ace bit. Not much chance of surviving those long odds.
Flopped set was kinda com, post event. I see a cheap flop with 33 from the SB, flop is 863. I lead and BB calls. Turn brings another 6 and completes a flush, I bet again, he calls. River brings anuvver 8 ldo, so now the board looks a sexy 88663. I check/fold to a decent bet and get shown a bluff. Hey-ho. About 5 minutes pass and then the next guy finally can't take it any longer and blurts out "did you realise you just folded a full house?"

my shortlist for my Fantasy team is narrowing...
I told ya - have me, I'm cheap.
you could put me on your fantasy team as well
It's important for our relationship that you tell me what you had on the QJrag board by the way...
I had a set of queens. Possibly.

Comedy moment of the whole night, that.
The guy who bluffed you - Mr Slow-Roller (he had an extremely large penis) - who had Slow-Rolled players 3 times during the evening, then Slow-Rolled me with Aces. He was not best pleased when my K-Q Slowly Rolled a runner-runner flush, & his member then drooped somewhat.
Nice to play Midweek there after such a long break. A bunch from Sky came along, & all enjoyed themselves.
Drunk Ian - it's a shame nobody controls the language there. I like Ian, but it was a Final Table of non stop effing from Drunk Ian, alll observed & heard by the Dealers & Management, who seemed amused by it. I suppose it's only crusty old blokes like me who get offended by it when it's done in that environment in front of decent peeps. Hey-ho.
Great to meet Drain Alien - what a top bloke.
Nice touch, the Buffet, too.
Even nicer to watch our Luton-Leader drooling over Lisa Marie, he's in love, trust me. I did what I could to ease the path.
Great Thread this, really. In a forum increasingly full of aggro, there's always a lovely mood here.
Nice one Chomps.

I'm not sure telling Lisa Marie I beat Fenland Paul heads-up to win Wisbech's hairiest man 2007 is exactly 'easing a path'.

You've cracked it when she calls you "Boss", which is how she addresses me. Which, I note, appeared to tilt you hard.

I genuinely think that we could write a farkin funny book based on the content of this thread.
Name options for said book (in no paritular order imo).....
"The trials and tribulations of the Luton massive"
"Chompy dribbles again"
"The funniest poker book in the world"
"Looofa appears as a newbie; and 'tis most ferkin funny"
"Ian gets drunk every night"
"Gotchy comes out the closet at last, and Rocks the thread"
"Chompy gets a new pet"
"Snatty upsets British Gas [certainly not the WPIL imo]"
"Chompy wears a clown suit on January 1st 2010; Read here to find out why"
Votes for the name.....? or alternatives of course........

I didn't particularly notice Ian acting abusive. A little loud and boisterous, perhaps. I can't say I can't recall that he was constantly swearing. Apologies if that was the case. In comparison to a drinking player like polish David, he is quite tame in my eyes.

George,
Not your fault.
It's "The Management" imo.
I wasn't there long enuff last nite to see Ian's FT behaviour, but I've seen him before.
I can imagine how it is out of order to some, and I've certainly heard a few
farks
thrown around, but in Ian's defence, he's hardly the only person that ever swears in the cardroom.
I recall Tighty joining a table that I was at one night and he blogged the result on his diary thread.
Dodgy behaviour and bad language by far, that the management just let go by (often with laugther etc).
Not ideal, but hey, that's poker !
Drainy
ps - I did apologise for Richie's behaviour the next day, and I think he's now allowed back in.

Expressman asked Drunk Ian to tone it down at least 5 times on the Final Table. The Dealers never once said a word.
To be fair, Drunk Ian does not swear when you are at the Table, as he knows you won't stand for it. He's not THAT drunk.

Is drunk Ian really just setting out to push the limits? He knows the score f(f)s, he was donkament director last time I played at The Western and had the respect of the locals. If someone at that FT (yes, yes, I chopped it) had complained about bad language he'd prob have asked them to tone it down.
So why does he then have a skinful round Luton town centre, amble down to the G and give it 'fark this, fark that' at the final table?
He's an affable guy on the whole and that sort of language doesn't bother me in the slightest but it does some folk. Next time someone should prob pounce on it imo.

Presuming drunk Ian got worse when the final started, coz although he had clearly had a few and his language was a little bit colourful when I was sat at the same table as him, he was in no way offensive or upsetting. I'd much rather that than the (presumably) sober guy on my table the week before who wanted to have an argument with everyone in the room after going out to a standard beat.
