More points for Lucky, lucky, lucky on Tuesday night, following up Monday's sixth with a fifth.
Rather than chasing home MDD, though, this time he finished behind USADennis, so the collateral form isn't quite as strong.

Point taken re USAD!

I had a bad run in tourneys though  May & June and whilst I usually only play Friday & Sunday I found myself unable to make last Friday / Sunday and similarly busy this weekend, so I thought I'd try my luck in the smaller comps (Saturday, Monday & Tuesday this week).

3 FT's from 3 has been a good confidence booster!

Exit hand was interesting and I'll post notes for feedback.

Penultimate hand    (7 left, all in the money. Blinds 1,500 / 3,000; average stack 36,000; I have 27,000)

Solid early position player raises to 8,500 and I’m next to act with pocket sixes. Feel this is a push or fold situation and opt to fold (interested in views / opinions here).

A short stack (5,000) calls and Malcolm Gee in late position pushes all in. Original raiser calls (c 17,000 in total). Over 40k in the pot and I’m feeling that my fold was correct, until I see the cards.  Original raiser has  both the others have AQ off, no clubs.  Suddenly I like my hand!

Two clubs on the flop and a ten giving straight and flush possibilities as suddenly  is looking massive. However the turn and river both blank (i.e. no clubs, aces, queens or jacks) and the two AQ’s split, AJ is out and I’m left wishing I’d played my sixes, which would have held up.

Very next hand (6 left, all in the money. Blinds 1,500 / 3,000; average stack 37,000; I have 27,000)

I’m in early position and find pocket sevens, and decide to open raise to 10,000.  (Again, interested in views / opinions here – would a fold or push be better?).

Dennis to my left ponders for ages and finds a rare fold.  Short stack to his left calls (This is AQ lady who split the small main pot in the last hand and now has c 7k).  Malcolm Gee pushes all in over the top and it’s folded back to me. I have 17k left and if I call I’m effectively calling 17k more to win c 48k, so the pot odds are nearly 3 to 1).  I tell myself I need 4 to 1 if I’m against an over pair but having seen Malcolm raise all in the previous hand with AQ; I feel I have to call despite being behind.  Could anyone find a fold there?

Lady (Tracey) has JJ; Malcolm has QQ.

By the turn the board gives me an open ended straight draw and I have 10 outs but I don’t hit. so Tracey exits in 6th and I’m 5th.

I mention both hands because folding the pocket sixes may have influenced how I played the sevens the next hand.

All comments / criticisms / constructive feedback would be welcome, before I return to the £75 game next week!

Tracey Tearle?

Sixes is a fold to action in front

Sevens is a push. Hate the raise of nearly half your stack. Unlucky to find two hands behind you

Sixes prob should be a foldy jobbie but I'm shoving here all day long.

You are officially shortstacked and I'm loathe to fold a pair in that spot, but the tightend and the claw are prob in the majority.

It's my shove-monkey ways innit. Also the odds always spring into my mind. On a full table it's 16-1 that anyone has a pair. Down to six, that gets closer to 25-1, so I like the math if I have a pair.

As it was you'd have quadrupled up before shipping most of them to Mr Rug the next hand. Meh.

No - "your" Tracey was on my table earlier but this was a lady called Tracey Allen (Not someone I'd seen playing before; I noted her name from the seating plan and results).

We agree on the 6's then (and I know its being results orientated to regret folding afterwards).

I see your point about the push with the 7's - put the decision onto someone else - but I guess the result would've been been the same on this occasion.

oh Tracey Allen, wife of my friend Darren. Both so tight they make me look like Lawrence Gosney.

Is tonight just a £50 freeze out, and no longer one rebuy or add on, and is it dealer dealt, and what time does it commence. I am sure on the website it says rebuy or add on. Xpressman.
