The new 'Monday night out at the G' ...... a weird, and wonderful, experience.
A motley crew of regulars was joined by many newbies for the inaugral Mutiny on the Bounty tournament - with the added spice that by taking your first opponent out ...... you were £4.50p ahead of the Juice Extractor.
It started with all the 'finesse' of a £5 re-buy held during an after hours lock in at the local estate pub, chips flying everywhere, without a care in the world.
'All' of the second hand in at 25/50, I decided to punish the limpers to the UTG's weakish raise with my AK on the BB - 525 extra, UTG (a lad that won promotion - via the Playoffs - from the £30 Tues Sextuple Chance, on penalties) flats - the rest disappear, K to the flop. and I progressively jack the bet up all the way to the river as the board improves further till I get the nut spade flush.
Having paid off my final bet of 1500+ he shows me he had the

...... "So unlucky", I consoled.
Rabid play continued on all tables, and a starting field of 27 was down to 17 ..... by the first phuqqin break!
A game of poker eventually broke out after the nictine break - but I noted the alarming stack the Tiddly Diddly was amassing on another table, with all that knowledge he has gleaned from watching Ian Frazer on Late Night Poker.
Finally got to the Final Table with not a lot of chips and managed to get it in with KK against the second chipleader's poxridden AA.
I soon wiped the smug smile off his face when the - pre-ordained - K popped out ...... ffs, don't these muppets realise who they're up against?
The very next hand former second chipleader goes all in, quickly followed by Diddly - I feel obliged to join the party with AA against Smug's 10 10, and Tiddles' KK.
Well obviously the 10s rule supreme - but I only lose 3k on the coup, thanks to the side pot thingy with TD.
I finally bowed out with

to TD's

, and wandered off to collect a bit of scalp money + £240.
A particularly strange comp (I'm still trying to decide if I do, or I don't like it) which has real value, but only if the same collection of newbies turn up ..... and if you can avoid the 'Play any Two Cards' Shanghai Kid.
