Well done Seb...guy is just utter com... his behaviour is getting more bizarre than a would be Leona Lewis fan... last night 4 then 3 handed he kept getting up and disappearing... toilet, fag,  then all the way to the bar where he stood waiting to get served for 5 minutes.. whilst a round of blinds and ante were more than 5k a pop..

I think the funniest thing was trying to work out how he supports himself. We laughed all the way through this one - looses a bit in translation...

Me "Seb - what do you do for a living?"
Seb "Well I'm experimenting with a lot of different things at the moment"
Me "So what are you experimenting with?"
Seb "Ask me in a few months and I will be able to tell you"
Mw "But if you're experimenting with them now you must know what you are experimenting with surely?"
Seb "Not entirely - ask me in a few months and I'll be able to give you a better idea"
Me "So you don't know what you're experimenting with?"
Seb "if you ask me in a few months I will know"

None of us were any wiser....but Chompys line was good - "If I am ever feeling depressed and suicidal I will remember this convo and laugh again"

The regular Venetian schedule is a nice one to win back flights.  However, you are going in Deepstack time, so you have this; http://www.venetian.com/uploadedFiles/The_Venetian/Gaming/PokerRoom/Deep_Stack/DeepStackIV_09.pdf

When they do that, Caesars usually do this:

http://www.harrahs.com/images/non_image_assets/39863.1_31x81_Poster.pdf

Altho it might be all done when you get there, in which case thier regular schedule will give you this

http://www.harrahs.com/images/non_image_assets/39476.1_31x81_PokerBoard.pdf

which is a choice to contrast against the big fields big buyins in the Venetian.

Usually when they do this, Golden Nugget and Binions do something too for lower buyins and mixed formats, but I can't be arsed to Google any more of them.  But you get the idea.  Or do a search on THM database, find out what festivals are happening in Vegas in Nov and go from there.

whichever way you do it, whoever goes, there will be the perfect tourny for them every day somewhere....

have fun.

I'm there from 25th -31st October and planning to take a shot at one of the $500 or $340 satellites to the Ceasers main event.

Ding, you must be dreaming about me, I wasn't there for that convo imo. Sounds like Sir Donkeys' work to me.

*** FAX JUST ARRIVED FROM LEAGUE HEADQUARTERS ***

FAO league controller Chompy,

It has been brought to our attention by a league member* that you posted the following scoring amendment in mid-January.

*DECISION MADE ALERT*
There will now be a 5pts bonus for 100+-runner tournaments and double points will be awarded for Festival events.
In a move that will surprise many I won't be backdating the new scoring system to include the New Year's Day tournament...(unless someone insists that I do so...).

No edits have been made to the post in the meantime and no other rules have been posted that may have usurped it, so as far as we are concerned it is still in effect.

As far as we are aware, only one player has been incorrectly scored. Please amend the league table with immediate effect.

Internet correspondence will not be entered in to. Any grievances should be put in writing to:

League elders,
C/O Sweaty Terry,
Enfield Municipal Sauna,
EN1 MDD.

*snitch was not Nirvana on this occasion but I obv cannot reveal the informer's identity for safety reasons

Question for elders and Lord Chompy:  If I do finish bottom of the league do I get relegated?

Absolutely not. The elders realise you are in a false position, so you will be re-elected. This year there is no relegation, like the old days of fourth division football.
Next year there should be a whole host of new talent and it's just possible that the season after there will be two divisions. This is all a long way off of course.

What date you going out Greg? Hotel?

Thanks for the responses guys, really helpful, i'll look into all of them.

We found a 50% off deal on Lastminute.com for the MGM Grand, so we're got a suite there for ridiculously cheap. I just checked it now (was going to link to it) but seems like it was, as advertised, only for 24 hours Sad

We (Me and Munson) will be there from the 9th till the 15th November- looks like we just miss you Lucky Sad. If anyone else fancies a spur of the moment trip though i'm sure the poker tables and bars are big enough for a few more in that week- get on it!

Also, congrats Blondies on last night's placings, and great result to Seb

sigh. Never played well 3 handed. Just never knew where i was at any point. Seb would bet the minimum with the nuts & then overbet with the nuts. Was just glad to get it over with in the end. Have told him how much of a legend he is on blonde and he will be having a look today he said. Assuming he remembers to go home. He had problems remembering he was in the tourney last night and kept wondering off for 10-15 minutes at a time.

Hmmm pondering a trip to Thanet today until I google mapped it and realise it is 140 miles from Sandy.... on a Friday as well.......A1 roadworks, M25 roadworks, M2 then some random A roads near the coast.....decided Luton looks good tonite.

Also my ole buddy 77Dave might make a guest appearance. (if you read this give us a call)

I also need to ensure my position of bottom of the league!!!!!!!  maybe I should look at withdrawing from the league to save future embarrassment.  no chance hahahaha

Question for elders and Lord Chompy:  If I do finish bottom of the league do I get relegated?

If you & Jim & a few strays fancied some Pre-Tourney DC, say 7pm, just say - I would need an hours notice, but I'd be well up for it, as my pension has not arrived this week.

I'm now finding it embarrassing at the shameless lengths Chompy will stoop in order not to lose our bet...the words fair play obviously bear no meaning to this person..I forward that his tasteless points garnering in a 14 man comp be deducted..
