Unlucky Chomps - may I suggest buying in three minutes before the end of the second level, as a new tactic?

At least you can then report that you made it to the break    .......

To be quite honest, I'm thinking of returning to playing at The Western     ....       it's almost impossible to get anydonk to put a shitehand down at Luton, currently.

Why would you want them to put a shite hand down?

OK, by popular demand...

33 players, inc handsome Paul, TFOP, Evil, MDD, Xpress, Dave Johnson, Mr and Mrs tit tattoo, RUHolding, and various newbies and donks.

First hand I get aces utg v a guy that I knew straight away was never gonna lay down a pair. I make it 175, he calls next door, flop 3 10 J, I lead out for 350, he makes it 1,000 more. I decide I'm happy to check call to the river. I check the 6 turn, he bets 1,000. I call. River is a queen. I check, he goes all in. I fold face up. He shows JQ.

Blinds still 25-50. Five limpers on my BB. I have QQ. Bump it up another 400. FOUR callers. Flop A75 two spades. I give up. JQ guy from earlier had limp called utg with Q8 spades and promptly gave most of the chips he'd taken off me to the ruppinator...with A5.

Paddled around a bit, down to 2,500 when we hit 100-200.
Then I got Ruppinatored, 56 in the BB on a 346 flop. Couldn't shake him off with 67. His seven played.

Scores on the doors

No. of players.....................33
No. of leaguers...................3
No. of Sebs present.............0
Standard of play..................1/10
Tournament director............Coco Pops (N/A)
Atmosphere........................4/10
Paul handsomenessometer...8/10

Hand of the night

Blinds 50-100, three players involved, Newbie Donk, Chunky Asian Dude With Mohican and George Michael

"Raise", said NB utg, "500". "Call", said CADWM. "Me too", squawked GM out of the SB.
The trio sat, full of hope and expectation, as the flop was delivered. "Queen, seven, six" called the dealer, two hearts.
"Isla Checker"said GM.
“1,500” shouted ND, so loudly that Kalam had the manager of Bannatine’s gym on the phone straight away complaining about the noise. “It’s drowning out Eric Prydz”, he moaned. “There’s nothing I can do about it”, replied Kalam.
CADWM sat there for a few seconds, then shrugged his shoulders and said the magic words “I’m all in”.
“Mia Toower” said GM.
“Aah bollocks, I fold my nines”, exclaimed ND with a tear in his eye.
“On their backs” suggested the dealer.
It’s queen seven suited for CADWM, KK for GM.

I mentioned to MDD on Sunday that there was an attempt to get Seb on LNP. "Who?" he said - "On what?" he continued.

I described Seb - he was none the wiser. Unfortunate that I was having this convo with a man who rarely plays poker and is not often at Luton, otherwise we'd have been alright....

Tracey says......."I described Seb - he [MDD]was none the wiser".

I would like to see this description written down plz...

How do you play this one Sir Donkeys?

Its not as perhaps easy as first look.... and I am all for keeping pots small but I don't think his reraising on this flop where you are beaten, sets  here would call and reraise turn.2 pair may reraise here but the turn bet is so weak u gotta jam him. His already taken the option of not keeping the pot small by the big reraise..u either play it all the way or give it up on the turn..only i can fold aces on the flop

Rejam on the flop or peel and jam the safe  turn..the turn bet is best as it takes the play away from him.. c/call... check fold is just horrible...your big decision is on the turn..if you really think ur beat fold here or jam here.. sometimes ur gonna go busto no matter what..but folding on the river after calling the turn is just ugly..did you think he was going to check the river..at least put a little blocker bet out there..

Meh, well done Sir Donkeys, I agree. I emailed the same to someone last night imo.
The only reason I didn't bet, smooth, peel, check, jam, no peel the turn was because it was hand one. I didn't want the possibility of 45min drive, one hand, exit, 45min drive.
So I elected to check smooth the flop and turn and feel the texture of the river's fabric.
Had this donkament been in Vegas, I would have check jammed the peeled turn. If I'd been knocked out, I'd have peeled off a few Newcastle Browns and smooth hailed a taxi to Deja Vu.
For the record had I smooth jammed the turn he would have called me and that would have been that.

Meh, well done Sir Donkeys, you is correct on this one. I emailed the same to someone last night imo.

Ur trouble is your smooth, jam peel fabric softners are all mixed up...  but like i said sometimes ur destined to go busto..his turn bet is so shit..its almost cries out 'im scared' thats why i would have jammed there because of that bet... he def should have checked and taken a free card..i know he didnt..but you have to wonder what you called his reraise with...

Current general standard of tournament play at the G is appalling

Deffo got worse in the last couple of months

The tournys have turned into the 25/150 10% raked cash games

IMO
