Alex needs to play 25 in order for his score to count. Still two months left on the year, so he should get there imo.

WOw that is a tough question and after last night my views on a couple of regulars went right out the window.

And afraid to disappoint you vin but GW in my view for overall game reading ability and success rate might make him in my eyes number 1 at G.

I normaly would include Dick Lynch and Jim MCbride but they made a couple of howlerslast night. Jims hand played itself but not sure why he called prelpop to the raise and the positon he was in missed his draw and out 20 mins into comp and dicky wtf was he even thinking but thats water under the bridge.
Call a clock going into tank for 5minutes to think about your question.

Alex

Lalit had a set of two spades against the twerp player whod maid a move with 10 clubs 7 clubs on 8 5 2 flop two clubs hits flsh on flop. Lalit gonna.

As the twerp in question id like to state that the board had an 862 and the play went like this.....

Pre Flp Smooth Call x 4 - Flop  862 - 2 clubs

I did indeed hold 10-7 of clubs

SB leads out for 2K - BB (lalit) smooth calls

I make raise to 10K

fold of second pot enterer - fold of SB - lalit moves all in

pot is 27K with around 10-15 to call (though think it was nearer 10)

I count 9+4 (definate outs + 3 Extra possible outs if against TPTK) - 13-16 outs = Either Way he should realise he cant push me off the pot and smooth call.

If the turn misses the draw i fold when he goes for 12K into a 25K pot.

The Twerp

Can you clarify the action?  First you say Lalit moved all in on the flop, then you talk about what to do on the turn?

Apologies - I believe he should smooth call my raise on the flop and then bet the turn if my obvious draws miss.

there was no turn action as thats when i hit the flush and straight.

Ok my top 8(could not decide on 5):

1 Graham Wheldon (sorry Vin no decision in my eyes) - read bottom as to why he distinguishes himself in my eyes.
2 Alex Martin and Dave Johnson (this is based on playing with Alex and Dave not just at luton but in several main events and i have to say alex has a great game for that structure and seeing him call a 20000 pot with jack high on river to complete bluff- hero call but he read it 100percant correct)
3 Adrian Gotch (Probably more disciplined than me if such a thing is possible and as chompy has stated in several threads his form speaks for itself)
4 Alan Gray (Ive known alan a few years and now his game has vastly improved however he struglles with letting go of ak in certain situations recent form very good too)
5 Vinnie or Phil Anderson (Here i cannot make my mind up you all play very similar and stump me when i play against you i can never get my reads right)
6 Glen (For me he plays his own game which i find unauthodox however i have to say it works for Glen and hes had some great results and he keeps me guessing every time)

If your not sure who Phil is (generally friday night player wear glass's dark hair about late twenties maybe thirtyish.

Jim McBride still top 10 purely on results orientation and game but after last 2-3 freezouts ive seen him in bad decisions hace cost him his tournament early.
Dick Lynch RELEGATION zone after last night.

Example for me why Graham is no1- last nights final 6 of us left all fairly equal in chips apart from muppet with 70ish percent of chips in play at that stage who ends up 3rd by the way.
Anyway graham raises UTG with aq to i think eleven five Paul Espreson folds, seat 1 with i think about one hundred thousand goes all in to a 20 k pot, pass from me pass from chip leader pass bb graham shows aq and mucks still 80=90 thousand left blinds 2-4. Fella who pushs shows aces were alll like really Huh?!!!!!! BELLEND play however my opinion of at least 60-80 per cent of luton players would call or repush and i have seen graham on numerous occasions be able to fold to positonal bets with a top hand and get away from it.
