Graham, to be honest, my question was a bit unfair, it was one i put on tighty about 18 months ago and chompy had to get the inhaler out when tighty mentioned Dick Lynch, no one will be offended (except Dean Morris, Lalit, Seb, Dan Fish, Jeff Buff, martin Jarvis, Phil Cooklin, Clare, Tracey & Tighty. Apart from that you have nothing to worry about :-)

WP for answering the question though.

How can you tell if Dan the Fish is offended? Happy? Playful? Constipated?

This thread has got me right over my PMD (Post-Masterchef Depression). Sigh, I miss Greg Wallace and Michelle Roo so much.

Man-List time.

Here are the people I find hardest to play against (some of our own blonde leaguers are people I've barely shared a table with) not necessarily my view on the best  or most consistent players, but the ones who I never feel entirely comfortable getting into pots with.

No particular order after Gary, who is the one player I actually feel somewhat intimidated by but still want to beat badly :-)

Gary Banks

Alex, Chris Poulton, musczles (sp?), Vinni, Chompy, Galloway, Dave Johnson, Phil.

I'm reassured not to be in anybodies 'list'... Surely thats where you should want to be, under estimate people at your peril.

I personally think that there isn't much difference between the good and the bad at Luton, the deviation is not big between the 'good' and 'bad', it's just a matter of who is on the upswing. Pick the best player in Luton and I reckon I could pick a play from the 'bad' list who would breakeven/win against them.

Just one for me this month, don't think I'll play any more as up to the home land for a week.

I don't want to be in your top 10 please... I personally hope to get it in bad everytime I play and get lucky, it's a skill in itself.

I take it thetwerp is a northern fish also?

Yes we all do seem to get judgmental in our old ages.  I think some players in Luton have leaks (by modern standards) and when they display these leaks they get put in the bad list.  (OK, some of these leaks are more filthy than others)

But some on the bad lists do routinely get in amongst it, which means there must be part of their games that peeps underestimate, having quickly decided they are terri-bad by their non-internet conforming raise sizing for instance, but then not noticing how well they accumulate chips in the middle of the tourny.

I've just thought of 22 players that could be in my top 10. Back to the drawing board.

I think a more interesting questions is where do we all put ourselves in the 'list', is it at the top? Or do we realise our limitations and just try and capitalise on the upswings?
