Dear sir, you have all right to make comments and please do. Say straight on my face, you are a bad player, not a problem. What hurts is when you whisper and I hear the same.

We will go for a drink next time Smiley

Don't worry  BG... they say the same about me... although for the most part its true...just enjoy..

To be fair though, no one whispers anything about you, it's normally quite loud so you can hear it. Even Avi has sussed you out.....

Picture the scene

The action is three way and our intrepid hero is holding Q10 on a J-9-8 flop on the button.

He has not shaved for days, and he looks worn. The Old Firm has not been allowed into the Premier League and this hangs heavy on his shoulders. His dreams on wearing his green and white hooped top into Stamford Bridge, the Emirates and Luton G have been dashed, for now

It's two tables out and our hero is recovering from a short stack. The action is made into him and he slyly flat calls

Three way to the turn, a Jack, also bringing a second diamond. Our hooped hero, a stranger to Gillette and Wilkinson, prepares to put his opponents to the sword. The Small blind bets and our hero raises, and is called.

The river brings a third diamond and now, on this paired flushing board our hero realises that his flopped straight is no longer looking like Aidan McGeady in a satin thong, the nuts on legs. The small blind checks and our hero checks behind

In the absence of Avi, the table resounds to murmurs of "well played" "dangerous board on the end Vinny" and our hero graciously accepts the plaudits of his peers.

It takes a certain type of class not to be castigated for checking your straight on a paired, flushing board and our hero has achieved what Mr Montana could not do the night before, escaped the opprobrium of an Israeli Cowboy builder who writes Poker strategy articles in his spare time.

Well played Vinny. Read and Learn Siciliano.

Firstly you can name me, as it was I who was the person sitting to his right. Secondly I didn't say you were the worst player in Luton. Please if you are going to quote me make it accurate. I have at least two players ahead of you!!! Thirdly your push with A5 is hard to understand as you were not under massive pressure at that moment in time. You had decided to make a stand. It was personal. Fair enough. Fourthly if I want to make a comment at the table I will. Fifthly my record in tourneys stands up to scrutiny. I make a profit and have done for five years. I play small stakes poker. I have qualified to big events but only as a satellite in. I have won a blonde bash. I have cashed at numerous festival events.

All of that being said,
I apologise totally and unreservedly for upsetting you. When all is said and done we all play for the fun of the game and in taking that fun away from you, I did you and this forum a diservice. I hope you will allow me to buy you a drink when we next meet to put the situation right

Phil

FYP (new venture for me, quite enjoyable)

Unaccustomed as I am to forums, Gasses post and the ridiculous reply from the "holier than thou' perpetrator can't for my money, go by without some discussion. As usual if Gas had missed nothing would have been said, the fact that he hit suddenly turns him into the worst player that ever turned up to a tournament,I have said it before and I say it again you pays your money you takes your chance .Every hand in poker has been done to death, there is No hand left out there past ,present, or future that has not been scrutinised from every angle on every forum and at every casino.Whatever Mr Cooklin cooks up as a defence for what he said is I'm afraid accademic, but running off about what a good player he is and what he has won is quite frankly absurd. There is nothing wrong with having an opinion on a player and nothing wrong with voicing it,But if you are caught with no bathers on as the tide goes out at least have the balls to admit to it openly with an apology OR admit to it with no apology, but to admit to it then justify it with a load of toffee about how you are qualified to say it because you have won every two bob game on the circuit is laughable with no guts about it.

People like Gas,Dennis,me and others are there to be shot at, we or at least I play on assumptions, feelings, boredom, and dare I say it luck to get some hands through, as usual you all want us in a pot with A rag against your AK or 9 4D against QQ, yet as soon as the river has come and your beat, the crying starts, **He's the worst player ever** ** She hasn't got a clue** tell you the truth sometimes it's worth the entry fee just to read the sob stories on here. I am as guilty as anyone and have said exactly the same thing, Im famous for saying " got knocked out by that ******* idiot in trap 5 with the teeth like a fifty year old hampster, he can't possibly win this" and you can guess who wins it.

Anyway back to the point, FWIW I think Phil should of just said "It was I and sorry" or "it was I so what?" Mr Gas you are too sensitive and the old flannel about just happening along the M1 and spotting the sign for luton and suddenly fancying a game is almost as bad as Cooklins apology.

Anyway nice to post on here Gl all.

PS none of you can win it !
