Celtic GG'd in seventh last night for no saver points, so it's all as we were going into tonight's £200 thingy.

Nice photograph though

Nicely credited too.

Given up trying here Tighty. I asked them 524 times and emailed quite a bit too. They just don't do it. I sent one of me playing the great game to go with my BPIL feature, but they used the one you took instead, the one of me looking like a paedo.

who's going tonight? u reckon 70ish then compster?

My theory is a lot of the 120-odd coming down to play the CoC tomoz will head down tonight and play this one too. I'll set the line at 68-72.

I'll be there with bells on. Why would I want to stay in nicking soft money off Friday night drunkards playing Wolverhampton in-running when I could sit in Luton for five hours and then lose two key flipaments to exit 15th?

I buyer at the your spread.  5 pound a point?

Chomps, I've had my plate put on hold when I sold my last car, have retention or whatever its called. Do you know if I can transfer it over to my new car without having to find a DVLA to go to?

Dunno about that Rooks. It's all been a steep learning curve, which prob serves me right for being enough of a tosspot to buy a personalised numberplate anyway.
My new plate can't be used on a car that's registered before 1 March 2010 as you can't make a car look newer than it is.
Apparently I get sent a document saying that CH10 MPY is mine, all mine. This I need to take to the Audi Dealership for them to knock up a couple of plates.
Obv I want the letters and numbers to be italic, with gold outline, and a neon strip around the entire plate. Anything less would just be tacky.

By the way, RO10 KEE is also available for £390.

SC10 TTY has unsurprisingly been sold.

But SH10 TTY is unsurprisingly still up for grabs.

U buying a new car then ?

Bought one Sir Donkeys. Just waiting for them to knock it up.

Tonight's £200 got 94 runners last year, when British Gas, the Marquis and yours truly final tabled. Tempted to take your bet JBuff but there's very little potential upside for me. So I'l welch...

WPIL/BPIL

expecting zero attendances at the moment for December, so thought I would sign off for the year by opening up the old can of worms.  I'm gonna try and not name names, but as I type if one or two slip out, I won't edit Cheesy

Best players in Luton.

Some of the lists that have gone up in the past are laughable.  I think when Player A has a hold over player B for like half a dozen showdowns on the trot, that player becomes a nemesis, to be avoided at all costs for the rest of life.  Long after the hold has been relinquished, of course.  The best players in Luton are the ones that can have you totally guessing whether you are paying to see 5 hi or the nut straight.  They understand how to engineer the betting to put you to the test, they are difficult to put on a narrow range, understand stack dynamics and use their position well.  Typically they will confront you with a manufactured proposition where you can win a 5BB pot, or lose your whole stack, all whilst wondering if your pair of tens might be any good.  Done well, it's not fun to play against.  There are several players in the league capable of doing this, and some are more consistent than others.  Certainly based on this criteria, there are players at the bottom of the league who i find far harder to play against than some of those nearer the top.  Who knows if that is a result of variance, or me using the wrong criteria.

Rank and file players

I have included this category just to make a point or two that might not get otherwise discussed away from the extremes.  There are a group of players who certainly know their way around a deck of cards well enough to make it into a final on any given night.  However, I often think that these players often make the right move for the wrong reason, massively overvaluing their hands, electing to play massive pots with no edge at daft moments, making filthy plays into protected pots without having previously put a shilling in, not in the belief that they are making a play, just in the blinkered view that they like their hand.  It can be hard to play against if you (incorrectly) assume intelligence, and deduce that they must have a hand worthy of showdown to make that play.  Coupled with the total air of a player with the boots, it can lead to some second guessing as to what they are up to.  Several times, I have seen players with the aura of aces make plays with no possible fold equity, still beaming when they proudly flip A9 and still like their hand against AK and 99.  They usually win too!  And if it continues to win, then I guess they are correct to keep playing it.  Once I have evidenced this sort of stuff more than twice, I am happy to play differently against them.  Hopefully one day I might hold too.

Worst players in Luton

Not the judgemental category you might be expecting.  Some names get bandied around in here, yet unfairly imo.  They may well have "a major leak" (such as calling off 60% to see a flop and not getting to showdown) which immediately makes people think they are terrible.  But it is only one aspect of their game, and they might happen to routinely outplay in other areas.  Which might be a reason they always seem to have chips, rather than defying the odds for extended periods of time years.

You're obviously confused by Chumpy's typo     ....       it was supposed to read Aldi Dealership.

However, I can reveal to all the precise model that is currently winging it's way to Our Leader;

They went out of fashion last year round these parts. So 2008. TFOP is obv thinking about buying one ready for the annual Boxing Day grouse hunt though.

Next up for me is this beauty, only in red. The numberplate goes above the front window.

Mr. Galloways post is an interesting one and far too long to quote in its entirety. Having read it all the way through I decided rather than to bring up names to fill boxes, easily done and even easier to regret afterwards, I would try and place myself in one of the boxes. I can honestly say that I apply to all three and frequently on the same night. The way a player plays is always mixture of their own game and the remaining players on the table. Poker is very like the stock market. When everybody heads in one direction it is often very profitable to head in the other.

Have i ever called for 60% of my stack and then let it go. Definitely. Particularly against mdd
Have I ever got wedded to hand. Definitely
Do I play a wide range of hands. Depends on my mood, chipstack, table image but on the whole yes.

Am I simultaneously all three. Never.
In Zen and the art of poker it recommends that each hand is its own individual moment. In poker this seems especially true.
That was rather a serious reply.

I think I had better go and get more sleep

You have just described category's for poker players in general, regardless whether they play at Luton or not. So the only way I can see this being relevant to this thread is with names Smiley

Please also find a category for Tikay's cat, one of the best heads-up players in the Ilkeston area.
