I just went 28th, so can confirm celtic for second

insane comp with 153 runners on that structure, 3 tables left 4k-8k blinds average 40k lol. Didn't get the required binkage to bring it home but gave it a good go. Just a shame I have had to give the place a miss recently

More tomorrow but comedy hand of the night

Unimaginative raises level 1, doddery old chap flat calls in big blind. Looks like a complete beginner from the way he handles his chips and cardsflop A-J-8 Doddery Noddery bets 100 into a 700 pot, called by Unimaginative

turn 6 Noddery Doddery   bets 100, and calls Unimaginative's raise

river J. Saga boy checks, Unimaginative bets for value with 6-6 for a nice rivered house

Doddery immediately flat calls with

J-J

Amidst much stifled giggling the player says about 90 seconds later "I had Quads? Wasn't the river a Queen?"

Notwithstanding Chompy's points threatage, I feel obliged to confirm this was not me.

Delighted for Ding - well done!

Thread is NOT closed - I shall be taking my camera for the New Years Day Clowneage, & everyone will want to see the photos methinks.

I will not let them down.

BIG thanks to Chompy for what is, for me, Thread of the Year by a country mile.

Veet ftw.

A third win of the campaign for Thomas takes him back above Tikay and safely into mid-table obscurity.

*Tikay, have put you down for 8 with a plus sign. Let me know re: Wed and Thu
*Simon, have put you down for 8 with a plus sign. Let me know re: Thu
* Winkie, let me know if you play again this midweek

Just waiting for Compo to give me his February total and then we're up to date.

****
Sir Donkalot, regarding the match bet, I can't take your money at evens, it's just wouldn't be cricket. Instead, I think we should go for one of these hilarious fancy dress forfeits that poker players are so keen on.

The winner of the match bet will select an outfit for Sir Donksalot the loser to wear at the New Year's Day 2010 tournament. Deal?
****

Huh??

Ok... As many of you have mentioned to me I take a lot of stick on the forum mainly from the chompster and I shoulder the responsibility with I'll think your agree good humour..
BUT NO MORE... the time has come and the challenge issued....

I did issue a gentlemans challenge of pistols at 20 paces in the g car park but chompster started crying.. so in the great tradition of all poker arguments we have agreed that the person who finishes lower in the blonde league by December 31st 2009 shall be required to wear a full clowns outfit at the next appropriate g luton tournament...photo shoot included..
I know chompster must be feeling confident with my well documented West Brom like league form but stranger things have happened and I can only run so bad for so long..... So lets rock and roll

April 29th the deal was struck.......

I am now not including my tournaments played until the end of each month

They are still not able to check how many everyone has played on the Luton system yet but apparently it remains in the pipeline

28 of the best from the Beds, Bucks and Cambs area, including Dennis Barnes, Trevor Webber and that Egyptian fella'n'his wife, descended on the Luton G on Wednesday night. It truly was the creme de le crap.

Mr C.Hompy and Mr T.End came in search of easy league points while the Chelsea thing was on TV and, not since the days of the A-Team, has a plan come together so sumptuously.

Nine points go to Mr End to take him above Mr S.Iramas and into the magical threes.

Meanwhile, Mr Hompy arrived at the final table with a mere 10,500 chips. Despite this, however, he was not in favour of paying out sixth through ninth. "Poker is all about going for the win", he was heard to say as the wanky final table cards took to the air.

Despite little luck and nothing in the way of binkage, Mr Hompy ground away and eventually took the win plus the hefty 15-point reward.

Sir Donksalot is one oversized comedy shoe away from meeting his New Year's Destiny...

May 7th and Chompy confidence is growing

Afraid not, what a night it was.

Down to 7,300 at the final table with the blinds at 800-1600, Egypt limps in, so I obv have to ship with Q7 off. He makes an awful call with 55 and the first card is a genuine binkage moment, a lovely 7. WP imo. More to follow...

The following items are on sale at Enfield Shoes'R'Us, just 5mins walk from the Municipal.

I'll sort four trophies, one for the league winner, one for the final table winner, one for finishing last and a special one for shove monkey of the year.

There you go, loads of silverware up for grabs. I've already carved an 'S' and an 'i' on the silver wooden spoon.
Shove monkey of the year will be voted for by all league players here at the end of the campaign. I'd be very disappointed not to collect this one though.
If the other nine agree, we could chip in £100 each and the final table winner could then play the Walsall GUKPT...? Something long those lines.
Plus bragging rights obv.

Really confident now

Wow, what a final table! There was Tikay, Tighty, Snatimaras, but there were some good players too. Dave Johnson, Gary Banks, Chompy. Quality personified it was.
Snatty and Tighty each played at least one hand each during the final, in between chats about rugby, and 5pts and 7pts respectively mean they now sandwich Celtic. A pleasing image imo.
Tikay had more hands than MDD during an average week but could only fumble his way into third. His 9pts take him above the all-important top-nine line, though, and leaves Lucky with a bit of work to do to get back among the elite.
12pts for yours truly take me above Winkie and Simon G, into a healthy fourth and one step nearer to seeing Sir Donkalot taking a Mr Benn-like trip to the Enfield Clowns'R'Us store in around seven months' time.

Fever Pitch now !

Congratualtions to Ding for her magnificent second last night, which was good for 17pts and enough to shoot her way up the table, above the likes of hoopy t-shirt and Johnny McCash.
Still need to put Thomas's points in, once I've found out where he finished, but fourth bottom for the mugster anyway, just outside the relegation zone.

So, that's it then, 2009 done! What a year innit. I'm close to tears here. Using Ling's best TV voice, I hereby announce the 2009 Luton Blondeshite League Thread closed. Gawd bless her and all who sailed in her...

In the end it was close but never say never...and the greatest trap ever is sealed.....

For all the stick... for all the xtranormal videos, all the chirping,
