Y fix something that aint broke...numbers are down cos vegas and the sun is shining and nobody knew what was going on..but should have left Wednesday alone imo

got to give it a chance

I asked Niall why fix it if it ain't broke etc and the reply was "numbers for wednesdays are not what we want either"

however it wasn't the comp it was the bad running of the cardroom IMO that put people off. Anyway, we'll see if this elads to 80+ runners in time

80+ runners with that structure will be pushy lol

[ x ] will be there tonight
[ x ] not particularly looking forward to it especially as the blinds will be 3K-6K when they would normally be 800-1600
[ ] will think it will work

why go if you're not looking forward to it and don't think it will work?!

As tighty said... you have to try.. im not one of these who just gives up without even trying... might be surprised and its best comp of week..just doubt it thats all ...hope im wrong... lower buyin to doesnt help prize pool

well good luck to you too!  I was quite surprised at your negativity tbh, I would have thought a game like this would be right up your street for grabbing chips early doors?

Im not negative... just don't see any point in carrying on..tried to join one of those suicide websites but they said i was toooo negative

Then went to the library looking for books on suicide....got directed to the right aisle but couldn't find any.

Librarian said " trouble is , no one ever brings them back!"

it will probably work ok tbh beacause they have a similar comp at walsall tho it starts with 15k and they usually do a chop 4-5 handed as it starts at 9 and has to be finished by 4 i think....and its usually copped at luton so think it will be fine imo

yes £50

Deepstack though

With a turbo structure

FML

I played a few $120 venetian comps with a 7500 stack and 20 min levels all the way, regularly 250 runners and cashed in 2 from 5. OK you see more hands there than you will here but think this structure suits my game perfectly - wish it was Fridays though.

Undoubtedly need a fair few hands to stand up /suck out in these but a lotta people are dead money because they don't want to gamble even though its superfast. Gots to know ones limitations and like I say, suits me. Big overbet shoves into weak betting is the order of the day until you can actually play some poker with a stack - might get called at Luton though :-)

there is a bit of a differance tho with the venetian & luton, being that the venetian have shuffling machines therefore you will have more hands per level.

Saying that, i'm gonna go along for my first appearance of the month to try it out.

[ ] the sicilian cashed in the evening comp at the venetian

[ ] the sicilian cashed in the deepstacks

[ ] the sicilian made up for it by making a profit in the cash games

What style suits your game sicilidonk? Grin

Whereas nirvanadonk (get me talking in the 3rd person) bought into tournaments for around $6500, lived OK food wise for 8 days , lost a little on a few pit games when bored, upgraded return flight to Upper Class (balla !) but then cashed in tourneys and on a few cash sessions to only spend $2900 on the trip. Bargain imo and ran deep enough in a couple of events that another day I woulda binked a serious return.

Fook me I'm good :-)
