I assume they are resistance bands and she is about to do some deltoid/shoulder type excercises?

Jamie Eason is an all round athlete of the highest order. She trains every part of her body so that she can maintain the idealogical perfect figure (in a toned / muscular sense).

What we see here is dedication taken to a new level when a competitor actually has an exercise purely for developing her thumbs.

It's a rare treat but surely one to behold.

This is a training thread so I'm afraid curves aren't a feature.

Curves and low body fat just don't mix.

6th Jan 2015 24kg x 10, 28kg x 8, 28kg x 8, 28kg x 8

13th Jan 2015 26kg x 10, 30kg x 8, 34kg x 8, 34kg x 6

20th Jan 2015 30kg x 10, 34kg x 8, 40kg x 8, 40kg x 5

27th Jan 2015 30kg x 8, 30kg x 8, 30kg x 8, 30kg x 8

Such a tough day today!! I went out for a couple of beers at 5pm on Saturday and ended up getting home at just after 3am slightly worse for wear.

Spent all day Sunday recovering and couldn't face the gym Monday morning.

Fast forward to this morning and I still couldn't really be arsed but I managed to drag myself there for the usual 6am start.

Anyway I was super tired and really demotivated so I was just going through the motions really. The 4 sets of dumbbell press at 30kg was really easy but I really didn't feel like going heavy so I thought I'd stay sensible. The main thing was actually getting there so I considered it mission accomplished.

I've not got my usual curry night on Thursday so I can make up for yesterday by training Friday so everything will work out okay for the week.

3rd Feb 2015 30kg x 8, 36kg x 8, 40kg x 6, 40kg x 6

Think I said a couple of weeks ago that I was feeling super confident and expected I might hit the 50s in a month...... I'd like to change my mind on that one please.....

Think it may take take a fair while to get there although there are a couple of adjustments I could make to help out. I've been doing incline bench press before my dumbells and that's obviously tiring me out somewhat. If I switch it around and start with dumbells I suspect I'd be able to go a bit heavier or at least get a few more reps out. Might try that next week and see how it goes.

All in all though very happy with the steady progress. Might start using a few supplements in next week or so as well. I know from reading back through this diary I reacted quite well to creatine and glutamine when I last used it so that may be good for a boost. I seem to be at a plateau right now so experimentally speaking it would be a goods time to try it. Will see how the weights go in the next 2 weeks, if there's no significant improvment I'll get on the breatine and see what happens....

Had to miss last week due to having a cold. Nothing too serious but I find it very selfish to go to a gym when you're full of bugs so I stayed away.

Anyway managed to get back yesterday but was feeling a bit tired so took it very steady. I'm hoping that next week I can get a proper chest session in where I can push to my limit. Feels like I've not made any progress for a few weeks and I'm not too happy with that.

I've still got a general goal of looking decent by Vegas at the start of June and that time's ticking away pretty quickly so I don't want any more slips.

Had a good back session today. My lower back injury has completely gone now and I can happily deadlift with no concerns whatsoever.

I'm only going light at the moment as I re-perfect my form but I hope to build up to 100kg+ over the next few weeks.

As anyone who understands training will tell you deadlifts are absolutely amazing but they have to be done correctly. If you use poor form particularly arching the back and not lifting the head you're asking for all kinds of problems.

Done correctly, keeping the back nice and straight and the head up there aren't many better exercises for overall muscle development.

Broke all my PBs this last week. Most of these were single reps, or 1-3 reps.

110kg squat
90kg bench press
100kg deadlift

That's three amounts I never thought possible six months ago, so I'm pretty chuffed. Big boy weights.

Great stuff mate, think it'll be a while before I can catch up with you especially on that squat!! Might have to make these my new target numbers.....

More importantly though....... Can you touch your toes yet??
