I'm going to have to post my daily food intake as well.  Quite different to Matt's approach.  How many calories a day are you eating Matt (approximately)?

One question Matt - what do you drink during the day?  Just asking as you haven't mentioned it (other than the shake, which is food really).

I haven't got a clue how many calories I'm having. I'm not being overly strict, all I'm doing is cutting the fat and other crap which which have an obvious knock on with reducing calories.

I'd throw a guess out there at around 2500 to 3000.

I probably drink around 4 to 5 pints of water a day. Nothing else.

I have a pint with each meal but don't necessarily drink it all. I also permanently have a bottle with me and sip throughout the day.

As you correctly say the shake is a meal, not a drink.

Matt,

you said in your last to me

You mention that if you ate "f all and drank water" that you'd still be alive. Nobody ever suggested eating f all. Do you honestly think that what I'm eating is f all? There's 1lb of lean meat in there every day + eggs and healthy snacks. Hardly f all.

i think you have misunderstood what i meant i was just pointing out that you said in an earlier post if this was all i eat i would still be alive
i meant without sounding like a tw@t i  i know i would still be alive even if i only drank water.....

i really want to do this but please remember i run my own business i have 3 kids  a wife and i want to be alive at the end of it .....lol
Matt Ive also sent you a pm

None of those things need to affect what you eat though Lee.

You could do similar to Matt through the day, and then a healthy meal in the evening with the family?
i think this would be a good idea if Matt allows me this!!

Make no mistakes Lee. You're a grown man and can do exactly what you like. You shouldn't be doing this if you don't want to because you will fail.

I also run my own business and have a very busy life outside of this but time is never really an issue.

Of course you should eat with your family. That's a must. Do you have to eat the same as them though?

It could bepart of the family fun taking the piss out of dad and his boring healthy meal while everyone else is eating fish and chips for their Friday treat.

Why not get the family involved? I assume they'd be supportive and wouldn't try to force bad stuff down your throat.

Your diet looks well-balanced and healthy - I was jut wondering about the calories out of curiosity.  You don't mention any fruit or veg (other than the bananas) - do you have a bit of leafy salad with your meals?  You really should, otherwise you'll never have curly hair... Wink

Drinking that much water is key to a lot of healthy eating imo.  If you're constantly hydrated, your body gives out fewer hunger signals (a lot of the time the body is trying to tell you you're dehydrated and instead you feel hungry), and also it's able to operate effectively (you're less tired, you can think more clearly, you digest food more efficiently, you can exercise better, etc.).  I drink water or have a drop of cordial in it (when I'm feeling crazy and feel like pushing the boat out) - and usually drink at least 4 pints a day.  When I run, it's usually a lot more than that to replace what I've lost in sweat, etc.

I don't plan my meals as well as you, so I can only report on what I've had so far today:

07:00: Fruit/oat bar thing and a bottle of isotonic drink - be before my run.

09:00: Carbo/protein shake mix (Rego)

09:30: Omlette butties! (6-slices of bread and 8 egg whites)

Evil one!

I am about to embark on my own little weight shedding campaign, which like yourself will be low carb ish.

I too enjoy eggs as part of my low carb regime, (not as many as you i would add), and with a low carb diet in general not being overly high in fibre, and eggs being quite bindy - do you have any top tips to keep everything moving in the right direction?

This is not a piss take by the way - i currently use a laxative once every 3 days but wondered if you had any other marvellously evil tips?

Just for the record, I will not be recording everyting on blonde, i might post once or twice on Toms thread when I hit 15st and 14st respectively! Well tbh if i hit 14st there will be a big piss up as I will have won a cheeky little wager!

You can have loads of berries (inc strawberries) and all that sort of stuff. Most Melons are OK as well (Honeydew etc). don't forget Rhubarb either..tasty and very low carb.

P.S. Obviously you can have loads of veg as well..just stay away from the starchy veg.
