Had one meal yesterday again, oops. Went to Frankie and Benny's though. I had 5 hot chicken wings, and a chicken escalope. It was covered in cheese and bacon, but for the side I had the salad.

Weighed in at 150.4kg today (but the weigh in was now, where as usually I do it in the morning so it's not really official)

The weight is coming off nicely, but since I have only had 2 meals in the last 2 days, it's not really sustainable.

The salad won't help much Sunny, that's like going to McDonalds having 2 Big Mac meals then thinking I'll  sort this out and saying 'Give us a diet coke with that please'....  Cheesy

It's a horrible habit to break as I know only too well being someone that loves food more than anything else and not only food but dirtyyyyyyyyyy food!!

Once you get into the habit of eating cleanly most of the time it's easy. I find it ok once I'm in a habit, it is the hard part getting into that habit now though that's for sure. I'm getting there again now and this challenge has given me the little kick I needed. I've eaten cleaner since my binge on Monday than I can remember for a good few months and hopefully I can keep it up to get me  back under 15stone.

I was down to 14st 12 at the end of March so it's annoying how lazy I've been since then and allowing myself to get back on teh Jaeger bus every weekend for a few months before Vegas didn't help. Still almost 2 months sober now and hopefully the journey down to lower bodyfat is back on track!!

Diet 27/08/11

15:00 MRP

18:00 220g Chicken and 1 WM Pitta

20:30 1/2 Pro 50

22:00 200g Chicken Breast and 1/2 Pro 50

02:00 MP Cookie

05:30 1 Scoop Gaspari Myofusion

Today: 151.2kg
Start: 154.2kg
Difference: -3.0kg

Yesterday's Meals

Lunch: Pork Mince in a bolognese sauce. 3 crackers.

Dinner: Pork Mince in a bogognese sauce. Half a glass of Mango Juice.

So, weight went up today. Not really surprised with the weird couple of days I've been having, but I'm hoping to get back on track and start having 3 meals a day.

It got slightly worse at McDonalds with the McChicken sandwich meal (large), 2 cheese burgers and 8 chicken nuggets.

WTF? How much time did you spend there?..also, was this all in one order or did you just keep going back?

one order obv. what's the matter with you normal weighted ppl

Yeah. Pretty standard single order.

It was a drive thru so went straight home, came to about £13 which included my mate's meal. Bargaintastic!!

Got back on it food wise yesterday (minus 1 tiny slip which was necessary due to it being hot)

I was at DTD playing the APAT comp but instead of being unhealthy I took a couple of tins of tuna with me in a cool bag to have during the break.

Breakfast - Flapjack

Oops - Cornetto (just one)

Lunch - 120g tuna, 50g rice & 75g sweetcorn

Dinner - 240g tuna + 75g sweetcorn

Supper - 45g protein shot

Missed my weigh in because I was late getting in. Will be interesting to see what the weight is tonight.

Had a massive lie in today so had a very late breakfast of oats, milk and protein powder.

I'm planning on going to the gym in a bit which is different to my usual routine but needed because of my holiday on Thursday.

For my prop bet I need to train 4 times per week. With my holiday being midweek Cos has agreed to let me train across 2 weeks and just book 1 week off.

I'm now hoping to do today, monday, tuesday and wednesday and have that as a full week if Cos will allow me to roll today over in to next week.

Hopefully then I can go to physio on thursday before I fly and then again when I get back so that I'm ready to get back to training the following Monday.

I'm ready for a break to be honest so hopefully with a couple of physio sessions and a rest from training of around 10 days I'll be fit and ready to carry on the rest of the year with no more breaks.

I've just started with the 5x5 thing and am dying a slow painful death. As I also have a couple of other sessions ( at least one abs and one swimming) a week I am not sure I get quite enough rest (I can't remember when I had more then 5.5 hours sleep during the week either TBH) I was wondering what people here thought of the benefits of sports massages.

Would it be worth having one or two a week for muscle recovery?

Ive only ever had 2 after redic hard skiing days. Both were amazing, really worked, cetainly prevented stiffness. I think you just need to be careful in that it doesn't replace rest and don't push yourself into an injury

I've jst gone back to 3x5 in order to try and maintain strength whilst trying to drop weight, instead of going 12.5/20/27.5 on dumbbells I'm doing 22.5/25/27.5. I work on a 4 day split (Mon/Tue/Thur/Fri) but that's all I do so it's only about 3 hours training all in all. I might start going in on a Saturday or something and doing some abs but now I'm deadlifting and squatting again that works the core.

I only have about 5/6 hours every night, I know they advocate more is better but I think as long as you're functioning ok and things are going well it's fine. I know some sickos that get up in the middle of the night to eat a meal so they don't go more than 4 hours without food etc.

I was thinking about getting a bit of massage on the go once a month or something, I'm not sure if it's worth it unless you're feeling niggles though. As long as you're getting a bit of rest and not feeling fked before you train you'll be fine as is.

When I was training at my hardest which was 5 days weights and 3/4 days kick boxing or bjj I had physio at least once a week.

This would either be the bone straightening man or the sports massage guy usually on alternate weeks.

If I got a specific injury I'd pull in an extra physio session to help get back to training asap.

I saw physio in one form or another as an essential part of training and was pretty much another session that had to be fitted in.

A good sports massage can do you as much good or more as a normal weights session in my opinion.

Todays food

Fry up = 2 poached eggs, 2 bacon, 1 sausage, 1 hash brown, mushrooms

Chicken and 1/2 pitta bread

Tomorrow is gonna be a very lean day as there is a very small chance I could win my bet. Golf in the morning (but in a cart because of my knee), then probs gonna come home, fire on the bin bag and get out jogging (slowly) to see what I can sweat out. This will be follwed by an ice bath and a good nights sleep and with any lucj I will wake up weighting 14st.

GET THEREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Cool, might have a browse and see if I can find a decent sports massage therapist.

Thanks mate (and Marky)
