Congrats Matt
Re: training, got a few goals, quite a few of em conflicting.
tempted to have a go at that prop lee mentions above.
Your more than welcome as far as I am concerned
£20 per lb short of target to charity
How much do you weigh?

I might get in on this, however I don't want to lose 24lbs and my aim is may.

What are the exact details of ya bet?
the three of us are going to attempt ......

to lose effectively 2lb a week or a total of 24lb 12 weeks starting on first of Jan 2012

our rough weights are

i weigh 17stone 4lb
woodsey 17
and girgy 23

after the 12 weeks for every lb not lost £20 paid to others charity.

we are going to start a new thread and post ......evidence of our actual weight.

i will then post my weight once a week.

Nice, would you accept me in your band of merry men, but I only have to lose 15lbs in the same time scale?

I'd obv pony up £20 per pound not lost in the same manner.

The weight loss prop you guys are doing has a lot of potential but there's also a good chance of slipping back in to bad habits.

Why don't you add an extra element to it?

24lb loss in 3 months with a £20 penalty per lb and then a further 3 to 6 month period with a £20 penalty per lb put back on?

I am happy to do that if everyone wants, in fact I wanted it to go until May.

However, I personally view this as a 80%ish short term thing only. My primary aim is scrubbing up well on my wedding photos on May 10th, anything beyond that is a bonus as I fundamentally do not believe in crash diets for anything other than short term benefit.

I currently weight 15st 1lb, my ideal weight is anything under 14st.
