Official email just in from the G "Poker Room Inspector"....

Hi there Darren, Richard and Chompy

I understand that there has been a lot of discussion over whether or not we
would be bringing back the early bird chips to the tournaments.

After a conversation with Carmel we have decided to bring them back for the
start of September
and it will be 1500 extra chips to each starting stack
for those that arrive 5 mins or  before the scheduled start of the
competition, It will only apply to freezeout competition's, It will only
apply to competitions that have a starting stack of 5000 or more.

I hope that this will be received well by the Poker Community and that we
see you all very soon

Is this going to include tonight??? I love the idea but surely they have to give some notice, I was planning on arriving late, and would have figured it out to be early had I only known!!!!

Here to help Drainy...

No beer on tap at the Gitshop, so had six bottles of Becks, then a curry at the Tandooooooooori opposite Kings Cross station. Good ruby there on Monday but the lamb bhuna seemed to contain chunks of braising steak tonight. WTF? 1/10.

The post-chomp conversation wouldn't fill you with hope either...

Waiter: "How was your meal sir?"
Me: "Meh, it was OK"
Waiter: "(pause)...thank you very much sir"

Celtic (one beer, 18 fajitas) and Sir Donks (no beer) went for Mexican (probz Taco Bell imo).

Got knocked out by a donk called Noonan (not Paul this time but Matthew). JJ v AQ all in pre. Ace on the river. Any relation Luther? Can't be many pokerers called Noonan? One at a push?

Apparently the Gutty £100 weekly tournament on Wednesday gets around 70 players on average. 25min clock and decent starting stack, starts at 7pm, normally done by 3am. Decent alternative to Wankers' Wednesday for those near London. However, be prepared to listen to endless young gangsta types analysing every hand, most of it bollox. iPod essential.

Highlights of the night were sicilidonk getting knocked out early. Decided that my stack was too big too wait for me so decided to go see his girlfriend for a late night whatever, obv I phoned to him to pick  me up as he was about one mile from his girlfriends house. Gg him. Headed to nandos, got refused entry as they had ran out of chicken, wtf? So ended up on desperado's. How apt? Oh and he lost the flip for dinner. Well,  the  second dinner of the night..

Aha, Chompy get's done by a 'One Flag' distant (so remote I don't know him) relative!

The 'Force' of the MAS remains strong within Federation territory     .....
