Drainy made TWO final tables in one day. That's like a year's worth or something. Even accounting for one of them being a 13-runner turbo what don't not count for scoring. Fifth in another donkathon = good for 6pts.

I only played the one, foolishly went to another Casino in a town not far away on Friday night, had to settle for Cash :-(

I hope to play the 30, do you have to make 15 each 6 months ? Hope to be there on Wednesday as that is the next evening out for me.

Quick update on yesterday's Luton blitz....

LittleRed kindly offered to drive the grey flying machine home, so I was on pints of Kronie64 from the off. SWEEEEEEET...

Ran well In the 3 o/c 8k comp and played aggy throughout - helped by the excessive quantity of raising juice - hitting some nice hands along the way, and built this stack...

EDIT: See Pic below, which was 2 tables out.

Got to final - by which time I was a bit pizzled which was funny cos he woz actually sitting to my left (ty for the Xth pint of the day by the way mate; X = a large number; oops).

We got down to the last 6 and then bizarrely it took AGES to lose the next person (saver for 6th). The chips were literally being passed round the table. Everyone agreed it woz ridic including Andy L.

I dropped a couple of chunky pots and basically ultimately got involved in a raise/re-raise/shove/call all-in pre-flop with 77, vs AQs caller.

I hit set, but the river delivered a cruel club for his flush (using my bleedin' 7 on the board!)

Me out 5th.

A surprising lack of chirping this morning given leaguers Gotch (15pts) and Noonan (12pts) carved up the inferior donkament between them, and Celtic (8pts) got his campaign kicked off with a sixth in the grown up's event.

The remaining seven yet to register their January total have until the end of the week, or face punishment/elimination.

The slack septet are Luther, Ding, Pokermuppet, The Baron, Free Rollin, Gamblor and Ropey Flush.

Summary
Briefly milder then very, very cold

As January draws to a close we can confirm that for the whole of the UK, December and January have been the coldest since the winter of 1981/1982. In Scotland it has been the coldest December and January since records began, way back in 1914. It looks like February will do nothing to bring the average temperature up a bit, in fact quite the opposite.
