I threw in a pan some chorizo, mushrooms, onion, chilli, spinach and a couple of eggs and made myself a little scramble.  As I made it, I thought, fark me, that's pretty close to scrabble, so I am posting in this thread, very much on topic.

pics?

I just popped round Galloway's.
Tastes alright actually.

That looks horrific

agatha christie books/ films are my passion.

the creme de la creme has to be the 1978 classic death on the nile with superb performances from sir peter ustinov(hercule poirot) and mia farrow(jacquline de belfore).  there was a circa 2005 itv1 remake with david suchet but this was a very tame effort and did not follow the book which after all is a masterpiece of literature.

my other favourites include hickory dickory doc and abc murders.  please feel free to pass comments or ask questions.I have the complete dvd collection (around 75 hours worth).  itv3 is a worthwhile watch particuarly on a bank holiday weekend when there is often a "poirot weekend" with numerous classics back to back to back and so on.

Dearest sir (aka WTF R.U. Watching/Reading, RUWanking/RUAPillock/RUSponsored/RUTakingDePissOnThisThread/Oh, and RUHolding - nearly forgot that one; lol),

It has been pointed that that there is far too much non poker related matter on this "poker" thread.
Do you not realise that some people actually logon to blonde to view this thread to find out what's going on in the luton g poker scene?

Quite frankly your post is of no interest to me, and I'd actually suggest that you set-up a blog entitled "books and videos that I have watched & enjoyed", tho I'd suggest that you are careful with the details of the second category.

I bid you farewell from this thread sir, and wish you the bestest of luck with your new book and video thread, that's not in the poker section (where people come to read about poker related matters).

> DrainyDonk (i.e. used to be a league elder you know, and I actually met Sweaty Terry once).

WARNING - Luton G Poker related post from Drainy:

Wow - looks like it was a leaguers paradise last nite at the G!!!

I will leave the details to an official league elder to provide updatements on, but here are a few snippets of info and a couple of clues in the meantime, cos those elders don't get up until late:

31 official entrants
5 officially paid
3 of 'em were farkin' leaguers innit!
1 of 'em (he's one of those slightly older fellows, who's into train-spotting and ladies' handbags) did quite well.

Drainage.

At approximately 6am on the morning after the night before, TV's Tony Kendall did finally outstay TV's Richard Prew (Mastermind, Eggheads, The Club), with David 'Igneous' Brian Northfield third and Terry 'Sedimentary' Mason fourth.
Sod the aggro stuff I thought. Being a rock is the future of this game. Look at Andy Abrahams' manager after all. Talk a lot and only play kings and aces. So I sat next to MDD, adopting his elbow on chair pose. Waiting. Waiting. Like in that Guinness advert, 'it's what he does'. Get'em going over the top of KK with ace rag, I thought, and calling Q10 with Q4. You know, that type of thing. Can't go wrong I thought.
And it worked. I got saver points, four of they'm, and everything, and I had the enjoyment of watching Glenn the flag hunter go out on the saver bubble in eighth. Also six points to the uber-consistent Xpressman.
Still, it was a fun night, apart from the intense beginning to the final table, but that changed once Shadesy of Sheffield had donked off his big stack to Manbag Snr (KK into AA). GG everyone.

Dear Chompy,
Any chance u can make your updates a bit shorter plz.
I log on here for a quick update for poker @ the g, and I don't always have time to read thru all of the extra detail that u often include.
(some of which may well be funny but that's not the purpose of this thread - perhaps you should start your own comedy blog - in the comedy section - not the poker section. In the comedy section I hear they like to have fun and a larf and jokes and stuff. But let's be honest this thread isn't about that - it's about poker at the g)

Thanks
Darren
