Welcome welcome Hellmuth Jr Jr. Please feel free to tell the masses that only a genius would have been able to lay down the nut flush in the face of your constipation-dwell-raise.

If memory serves, you made it 4500 at 800-1600(100) with K hearts, J.
I called out of the BB with A hearts, 8. Both decent stacks.
Flop came 9 10 J all hearts. Check, bet, call.
Turn Q hearts. Check-check.
River Q. Stopper bet of 4200, raised to 14000 odd, fold.

Thought I probz had to bet the river. If I check and you check behind with, say, a straight, it's a chance missed by me.
If I check and you bet, say, 8000, I'm obliged to call.
I should have just lol-shoved pre prolly. Meh.

Please tell of the mass donk to mr hellmuth

Sigh, it was Level 19 stuff.

Rised with 78. Twerpers called in the BB.
Flop 3 10 Q. Check bet call.
Turn 5. Check bet call.
River 4. Check all-in. Call. With KQ!

KQ! The same hand TV's Tikay opened shoved 12x with at the final table. That's 12x, not 1.2x!

Tonight's much-in-demand £10 rebuy attracted a field of...

Any guesses?

This hand really helped my tourney :-)

Was in the BB and I think I should probably play this even out of position against the amount of Chompy raises i had observed in the last hour and how tight i was playing that night.

Q high and 2 clubs from what I remember, I thought it was a 6 and a 3 on the flop but really could be very wrong there

I was trying to control the pot and keep it small while out of posiiton so checked. You bet out what i though seemed to be a quite honest bet. So though my kicker was good but didnt want to go big with one pair against another large stack.

Turn brought the third club (10 i thought) which i though if i had just hit the flush i 60 % check here so that seemed correct. But with a redraw to the Queen flush and top pair it seemed i should still be good. I honestly was not sure you bet here - I thought you checked behind. but could also be wrong there

Then the river i thought was  a brick maybe the straight was possible but after i check i dont think you can shove the straight in case i have the flush - which is definately close to my possible hands.

That and the famous hellmuth read meant i had to call the shove. All that said it is probably chompy out of all the luton players i struggle most with when im not setting about blowing a huge stack by making slim calls with marginal hands (Just like the real Phil)

I dont think the play is bad by chompy though as i am unlikey to call off my tournament here and i have played the hand very passively. For myself I think the right river play following my earlier play is the check call.

Sadly did not make it up today as the rain was pouring when i was about to start the 40 mile drive - i decided to play maidenhead but that went quite well once i settled and played sensible in the cash.

But near cert for wednesday night

I note Dave Johnson took full advantage of last night's miniscule turnout to farm some easy National League points      ....     (I was surprised the required minimum of 10 was actually achieved for such a dreadful offering).

On AWOP's daily results it states there were actually 13 runners!

Now what 'genius' in the G cardroom heirarchy thought this pile of excretia up?

What must be the lowest prizepool ever at Luton    .....        £430      .....         produced what must be the lowest ever rake for the cardroom     .....      13 x 4 = £52.

Is it possible to run a room/pay the staff on a night's takings of a Bullseye?

But no matter how many times the sanity of having this ten quid re-buy was questioned by the punters, it was still imposed on them, whether they liked it or not!

Customer satisfaction     ......       it's what the Grosvenor's all about!

At 8.20pm a few of us are chatting, and decide to try to play a deepstack thingy rather than muck around in £10 rebuy bingo with so few runners

So we play a £25 10,000 chip comp, had great fun

For £25+5 compared to £10 times x plus £4 juice

I think it's clear what the regular punters want!
