Table 2 was the table of death last night. Amazing bluffs galore and ridiculous bets from Mrs Phan ('protecting' sets with 2x-pot bets; 88 on an 863 flop, then let Mr Somerfield off the hook with 1010 v QQ on a K10X flop). No naughty boy was gonna be chasing a draw against her. Then there was Ian Bell open raising to 500 at 50-100 before rushing to Adelaide to finish off the Aussies.
Playing his first tournament of the month, Celtic came through the madcap capers to TID at the expense of Rockstar (fourth for 7pts) among others.
Also, all-time rubz for TV's Tony Kendall. First, he got dumped off the table of death. Then tried to 'lose' his Danio Minieri fashion accessory, only for Kalam to put a call out to come fetch it before he'd had time to leave the building. UL sir.

The Xmas draw was unsurprisingly won by Lalit (6/4 shot landed in a field of 43), who looked up briefly from his Sudoku puzzle after Nina called his name. Surprisingly he didn't win an all-expenses paid trip for three (himself, Chunder and Yoda) to some exotic location. Nope, just a...Christmas DVD! Heater over?
