Racing looks quite tough tonight, Had a bet on Rio Quattro at 13/8 but that went straight away, best is now 11/8, may still be value as could easily go off evens or better. Stuck a few doubles and trebles on for fun.

Had a couple of interviews this week so my focus has been elsewhere. I'll have a look at Yarmouth.

First reaction was that Screen Critic is far too big in the opening heat @ 8/1. Definitely got the best pitch to work from in the race and despite having a couple of lengths to find based on the trial work he's only had one look and can improve on the clock. Add in the anticipated inside trouble, Critic looks like a good bet.

Southern Mesut is avoidable over any sort of non-Romford 4 bends when as short as that in the second heat. Despite it not being full of world beaters I wouldn't want to back him at 6/4. Obvious alternative is Forest Gavin who actually seems to go ok from trap 4 and can pace up with Mesut - 5/2.

No real early on the inside in heat 3 with Cathys Clown and Aero Nemesis pacing up best further out. Nemesis slightly preferred @ 2/1 but also think he's worth an antepost shot at 25/1.

Heat 4 - Jaytee Lightning seems to perform well at whatever track you throw him at and he looks the most likely winner. The standout price at bet365 (11/4) might be worth a few pennies.

Boom Boom Hero to upset Rio Quattro at 9/1.

Don't see why Any Dak is 25/1 in the outrights. Always performs well at Yarmouth, is the defending champ, and all his recent work is comparable with the favourites who are half the price.

In heat 7, Borna Cheyne looks a much better bet at 11/2 than the favourite at 6/4. Can see him coming out better than 4 and 6 to avoid early trouble and from there is just as fast as anything in the race I imagine.

Clearly from the timings of the posts the above involved minimal research so I don't recommend anyone backing anything of mine.

Few winners and both 25/1 chances made the next round, winning their heats.

Not much punting time here at the moment, but hope you get the job you want, Scotty!

Also, when is that dog we backed the other week running?
