Friday 8th jan pmwe were planning on having a quiet one on friday and a big one on the saturday but this all changed when zaks rota changed to 3pm-11pm saturday so we went out friday.
we arrived at the backpackers hostel where zaki lived for a bit and met the kite surfers and a few tidy birds, a few bottles of tooheys extra dry and then off to a bar called newport which is where a lot of the backpackers go. they had a rock band playing versions of some classics, like green day, ac/dc and local heros wolfmother.
In perth wages are high, like a barman will get $22 per hour, therefore naturally drinks, food etc. seems a rip off but its all relative. Ive tried not to work out the uk price as it will tilt me, but paid $17 aus for a single vodka redbull (well more than one) and $13 for a smirnoff ice. i had a good time in newport and on the way to a club we saw a street band playing the instumental to mr.bigstuff. The more discerning of you will also know that its the same tune to NWA express yourself. Being abs bladdered i decided it would be a good idea to rap the song. Alas i could only remember the first verse and had to freestyle the other 2, which was a bit scary.
We went to a club called chink, where some old lass started undressing me late on 2am ish and got herself thrown out. My beer goggles were placed firmly on my head and i decided to have a sneaky glance round. I saw not one of the lads so decided to follow this broad out, into a cab and back to hers. Unbeknown to me, everyoone saw me sneaking off and ive been getting banter all day, which is fine.
not been out in the sun too much after getting pretty burnt on a few occasions, but ill venture out in it soon.
Played a few small sessions, playing real good atm, lots of deep finishes and im reading peoples hands about the best i ever had.
Zak and my mutual friends are appearing fromt he uk on the 18th and were gonna fly to bali, and then do a roadtrip were gonna plan out soon. On the 17th im going to see Al green in perth, and on the 29th going to a festival where dizzee, lily, kasabian and muse are among the artists, oh and groove armada. Loving life out here and might not be back for a while. Got a mate in bankok i must visit
