Redsimon is recovering in Nottingham University Hospital after a successful kidney transplant operation yesterday morning. It's been a long wait for him, certainly more than four years I am sure.
I spoke to him about an hour ago and he was in good spirits. He will be in the hospital for a least a few days while the proper working of his new kidney is checked out.
I am sure that all blondeites wish him a quick return to the more normal poker life that most of us enjoy.

That's wonderful news, but very quick - he only wrote to me to tell me they had found a suitable donor kidney two nights ago.

He's suffered for some years now, very bravely, & with great dignity.

He's a very big man.

I wish him a speedy return to Simon-Normality.
