Not sure what I would have done in Fabios shoes but hats off to him once again for his 'my way or highway' approach (Steve McClaren probably would have invited Terry to nob his missus too). The role model stuff is irrelevant, footballers shouldnt be role models because they are all thick, what matters is how this has effected the rest of the squad, so if Terry has caused problems with the rest of the team then Fabio was right.

Bear in mind as well the story came out today that Terry was flogging the suite he gets use of at Wembley for being England captain off to people for £4000 cash.
Personally, I'd strip him of the captaincy just for that.
Yeh he's mad not to take payment by paypal, cheque or stars transfer. I don't think it's that big a deal and nobody knows where the money was going. It could have been going straight to a charity anyway. This is the England captain that stopped England players being paid to play for their country. Their match fees now go to charity.The typical response of "oh how nice of the millionaires to all agree to give up a couple of grand each game" is expected but the guys being accused of trying to make money out of being England captain when he's actually given up much more. But i understand it's a World Cup year and we'd be mad to have any positive press around the England team. |

Sounds like some bloke not on over 100k a week was going to ask Terry to use his box and then sell it on.
