Jake Cody "In the Well"
«

He's 21 years old, He's from Rochdale and in January, at EPT Deauville...this happened
1st Jake Cody UK €847,000 + EPT Grand Final seat
Which is a pretty remarkable achievement, in his first ever EPT ahead of 768 other players, and despite being down to the felt six handed when losing a massive race against Mike "Timex" McDonald
Jake posts on here as "neverbluff67" and he has kindly agreed to go "In the Well" for the next week
I don't know a lot about Jake, so putting together a biog for this post was a challenge. Lets settle for this from his blog....
"My days mainly consist of trying to destroy the full tilt mtts, sessions of heads up cash, or going out and spending time with my friends. I learnt to play poker in the back of a pub when i was 15 and iv been playing ever since, constantly trying to learn and improve"
So question away about EPT, his poker life in general, non-poker stuff, living the life of an EMO Poker pro..you know the score
and Jake will pop in when he can to answer your questions.....
The top picture is Jake
The bottom picture is one of the many similar images you get when you put "Jake Cody" into Google Images....

Do you blame your sudden influx of friends on Facebook down to the fact you just won €847,000, or have you always been that popular.

Have you ever bought anyone into a tournament of no limited hold em (100% of buy in) to find out they had sold pieces of themselves to others behind your back?
If so, what do you think of this practice?
Also, prob worth mentioning the 104 hand for those who don't know.
Congrats on your win!

From PokerStars blog.
2.56pm: Oh my! That Lemaire bust out in full
Hold on to your seats, people, this one is pretty nasty. Hugo Lemaire started off proceedings with a 70,000 raise before Jake Cody three-bet to 193,000. Lemaire seemed interested as he quickly slipped of his headphones to hear the total raise. He then raised again to a total of 410,000. "How much do you have?" asked Cody.
"One point three million behind, so one point seven total," was the reply.
Cody sat in silence for a minute then announced he was all in - and the call was instant. Both had similar sized stacks so this pot was worth around 3.5million. Cody calmly opened the huge T♠4♣ and saw he was in great trouble against his opponent's K♠K♥.
This game can be so cruel, though, and so it proved on the 6♦5♠3♦A♦7♣. An all action flop brought an open-ended straight draw for the young Brit and it duly came in on the river to take the monster pot. A quick countdown of the chips also confirmed the elimination in 18th place of the unlucky Hugo Lemaire.
Talk us through this hand please, what was the history between the two of you, and the dynamics that led to you playing it as you did?

For those of us who don't know
What are your normal games/limits/disciplines?
You qualified for EPT Deauville online?
