69. Pretty good, especially as none of the well fancied players scored any better than him.

Marcell Siem -  sure feels good to have a man against the forum pick.

Nutcase is a bit harsh.

Top picking with Siem Chris but if he's not quite a "nutcase" he's close imo.

I have him in the same bracket as "Larry the larrap" Larrazabal, greatly talented but equally unpredictable.

I have added Robert Jan Derksen to the portfolio, got a morning tee time in the 2nd round so hopefully he can go well.

Gaganjeet Bhullar    25/1

S Lowry     33/1

G Maybin     25/1

Those were my bets, but not kept up with it.  Who's doing what and are any of them still in?

Hi Laxie,

the leaders are on -10  and Lowry is in the clubhouse at -7 so he in a good spot, Maybin has just birdied the last hole to get to -5, ive just bet him again ew at 66/1 so both of them are doing ok.Bhuller played poorly today and looks to have missed the cut.

oops

Is the point of backing someone at 25/1 to trade out at 18/1?

You might as well just lump on Man Utd at home to Pompey at 1/8 instead.

I'm not a regular gambler and I bow to those that are - I make small bets when the fancy takes me and don't trade much, but I'm trying to learn more about how betfair works. On this one I saw the first round scores and the fall in odds meant that I could lay my original bet and take a free punt on the win, surely that's better than backing anybody at 1/8?

If he had shot the 76 in the first round instead of the second you would not have been able to trade out at all.

True you could have taken a small profit after the first round, but imo that isn't really the point of backing someone at a big price to win a golf tournament.
