What regular maintenance should I be doing with my computer ?

I only wiped it and reinstalled windows 7 on it a few months back but since playing sng's again Stars has been a little laggy at times and today it was even worse, I actual thought it had crashed at one point today. They only thing that I'm doing at the minute is disk defrag weekly ?

Another insane day today, ran absolutely abysmal on ft's of 15's but due to making about 10 and doing ok in 3r's and 8's I was still up a little going into the end of the session. Then I got lucky with A9>>>AK for a stack in a 15 with 20 or so left and went on to win it, that was my first win in a 15 since Saturday as even though I crushed on Sunday; I had 4 2nd's and no wins. I would've been worried I was a terrible as titbeam at hu but it was all pretty std stuff plus I won something like 4/4 in 8's, other way around plz. As well as winning the 15 I came 2nd in my last one as well as a couple of other decent cashes so ended up in profit about 2k.

Made another 1.1k vpp's, got 20,800 left to get in December. I got to about 90 games today and just felt a bit lethargic at the break and had done for the last hour or so, I wasn't tired or playing bad just kind of hit a wall and felt like I was going through the motions a bit. I was b/e at that point and after yesterday's fiasco I was going to stop at 100 if I thought I wasn't playing well but luckily I did carry on and end up having another nice session. Despite the good results I'm having there's definitely some room for improvement, icm I'm a little bit rusty in certain spots and I'm going to solely look at icm for the next couple of days, I've been going through wiz everyday for about 1/2-1 hour just working on ranges and icm but feel my ranges are pretty solid now. Not that I'll get complacent with my ranges, I used to only use wiz once a week for a few hours but I've just getting into a routine of doing a little bit before a session and it's definitely productive.

This depends which version of Windows you've got. If you're on a 32 bit version, any more than 4Gb is not used, so don't waste your money.

Or get a 64 bit version, then get more memory.

Easiest thing is to go here: http://www.crucial.com/uk/?click=true

Click on the system scanner. It'll tell you what you've got and how much you can have.

With the way you use your machine, how critical it is to you and how much memory costs I'd say put as much as possible in it.

Chances are you've got 2 x 2GB memory cards and 2 spare slots.

Adding an 8GB kit (2 x 4GB) to that will make a huge difference especially if you've got AV software and other applications running in the background.

It's going to cost about £40 and will be the best £40 you've ever spent on your PC.

I'd even be tempted to scrap the 4GB you've got and just put 16GB in it if possible. It's huge overkill but at least you'll not have to worry about memory again for quite a few years.

Shit day today from start to finish, out of the first 100 games I made it itm in 4, 2 min cashes in 3r's but luckily managed to run good in both 8's and won them both so it wasn't going to badly. With 20 left I was stuck 1.5k and had quite a few deep 15''s so was pretty confident of getting out but just lost every crucial flip and AQ<<<A10 for a nice stack on a final of one didn't help either. Then had 2 left, a 8 and a 15, was 8 out of 24 in the 8 but soon got crippled when I jammed A5 bvb shorty calls with J10, flop of Q9x wasn't the best, K turn, geeg. In the 15 I had 15bbs with 30 left and jammed A8ss into 99 and didn't get there . I only had 4 results today better than an 8th and no better than a 6th in a 15. Nevermind.

Really pleased with my volume and looking forward to the next upswing coming, obv had a good day yday but that was basically just to get out of it. I'm basically going to try and keep this daily grind of 250 games going for the next two weeks and then I'll be almost there, be pretty sick imo if I manage that but I'm more confident I will than I was at the start of the week.

I'll go back to reporting results the way I used to so you don't have to read all the drivel and can just see results, plus saves me typing it all some days when I cba.

Fek sake, another day of running shit, I couldn't run much worse at showdowns today. Kinda sucks I've put in over 60 hours grinding this week and I'm down a bit but I was pretty golden last week and I'm happy that I'm playing well, just need to get used to the more volatile swings in these than what it's like in 45's, not that I'm down about it or anything, all pretty standard and I've still made a pretty decent profit overall. Hopefully run better over the weekend and sneak into profit. Only played 200 today as was feeling pretty tired near the end of it, if I can manage two more days of 250 this week I'll be very happy with that.
