I believe in positive thinking, I don't think I could do my job very well if I didn't have that mindset. I think having a positive frame of mind, demeanour and conversations with people can influence people in your direction especially if they are sat on the fence.

Not sure of its uses in poker though, I guess if you could use it to even mood swings out, it might help you tilt less I guess. Actually, it could probably easily be intertwined with confidence too, I doubt any poker player would say they don't play better when they are confident, so I guess it may have more uses than I first thought, I dunno. Can't do any harm that's for sure, and it will probably make you a nicer person to hang around instead of a whiney moper (not saying you are currently).

Not gonna make the cards fall your way though obv.

Haha, I hope I'm not anyway  Tongue

I definitely think confidence when your playing is important.

Well I think positive thinking is one of the things that leads to confidence, so in that case it is important.

Positive thinking and visualising can both make a huge difference to your life imo Raymond.

There is an upside to almost everything that happens in your life you just need to find it.

Red-dog is amazing for it, he appreciates everyone and everything around him, you have to realise how lucky you are to be here and make sure you notice everything that makes the world amazing.

The visualisation side of things is a bit harder to explain, but basically you have to be able to see yourself getting to where you want to be.

Neither of these things are ever going to change the way you run at the pokerz but they will change the frame of mind you are in when you play as your days will play out completely differently.

Yeah I do agree with that, but I still don't see what there is too believe in ? Ofc it's better for you to have a more positive outlook on life as you will feel better and therefore approach things better, just seems some people talk about it like some kind of power, maybe I'm just over complicating it. I've made a few posts on here about how lucky we all are and I do try and always live my life with that outlook. I always post on here straight after I finish a session so sometimes I might rant about poker or whatever but within 15 minutes it's forgotten about.

Shaun mentioned about your subconscious which is also something I find interesting, might get a book about that also, anyone any recommendations ? I remember when I was 16 in an Eng Lit A level class and the teacher asked someone to explain what it was, I abs nailed it, she was like WTF I'm going to use that, haha, sure remember what I said.

Games today : 231
Profit today : $353.77
Games month : 1664
Profit month : $840.22
Vpp's month : 7503.75 (13296.98 left)

Currrent bankroll $4885.98

35's

Games today : 19
Loss today : $595.60

Current bankroll : $1404.40

Pretty suprised I made a profit in my normal games as there was some horrondous stuff, luckily won two 3r's mid way through the session to make it an ok day.

I had a couple of decent hopes in the 35's inc busting 10th with KQ into AA, fml. There's definitely some value there. Pretty pleased at the traffic as well, was pretty much the top end of what I'd hoped for. Looking forward to seeing how many of them run on a Sunday.

Pretty uneventful session today, didn't make too many finals and did lots of min cashing, luckily of the few I did final I binked a win in both a 15 and an 8 so wasn't too bad a day. Sigh at losing a flip for a stack in my last game with 10 ppl left which was a 35.

Games today : 233
Loss today : $290.00
Games month : 1897
Profit month : $550.22
Vpp's month : 8844.19 (11956.54 left)

Currrent bankroll $4595.98

35's

Games today : 17
Loss today : $525.

Current bankroll : $878.80

Although results don't look to great for the month I'm pretty pleased with the small losing/winning sessions that I'm having as I feel I'm running pretty way below ev. Plus, obv it's a small sample size and overall results are good.

Although I'm not minding they hours I'm putting in to much, done 80-90 the last few weeks, at the minute I pretty much never switch off from poker. I get up and have a bath then shove something in the oven and do stuff with wiz whilst it's cooking, eat then grind all day, then come on here, then go to bed. Even when I go to bed and watch some tv I'm still thinking about poker, not so much about how the session goes but more just thinking about ranges in different spots with different stake sizes etc, then I think to myself "ffs give it a rest and concentrate on <insert tv show here>". I literally watched about 10 minutes of frozen planet last week where I hadn't took in a thing that the absolute legend that is Sir David Attenborough had said or what had happened as I was too busy thinking about shoving x% with xbbs from utg+3.

Also, instead of just falling asleep whilst watching tv I've been turning the computer off the last few nights and and just trying to go to sleep instead of waiting until I finally do, not sure if everyone else is like this but I always have to think of something to make me fall asleep, as in like I'm kick starting a dream then I'll fall asleep and it'll continue. Well, everytime I've done this for the last few weeks I keep thinking about the 10A million and binking the $2million, this is quite odd for me as I very rarely dream or think about winning huge sums of money, a large part of me actually hopes I never do as I'm not sure how well I would handle it. I'm not saying it wouldn't be nice, the problem is it might be too nice.

PS: Someone feel free to explain to me the usage of to & too btw, kthxbye  idiot

Debating whether to play today, got a pretty shit nights sleep last night, not from thinking about winning the 10A million  Tongue

Just took me ages to get to sleep, really tilts me when I'm just lying in bed doing nothing for about an hour just thinking about random shit and wondering why I'm not a sleep, probs only got like 5 hours which really isn't great and seems a bad idea to go into a grind already feeling tired, so I will fade today and have a quiet day, might go watch the Newcastle match then come home early and watch El Classico, definitely not doing a session on the drink as I'm looking forward to the grind tmoro and seeing how many 35's run, however I think there maybe the same problem as last week as Stars have the storm gtd at $1million, really hope it doesn't go the same way.

too = also

Still confused lol, got this from yahoo....

we use TO for expressing directions or objectives. usually with the verb ( to go)

ex:
I go to the beach
I go to the park
and so on...

we can use TOO by two different ways:

use TOO to indicate an excessive quantity.

ex:
Too hard
Too big
Too small
Too simple

and we can use TOO instead of ALSO at the end of a sentence.

ex:
I want to go TOO ( I also want to go)
I want to eat TOO ( I also want to eat)

Me Mam asked me the other day if I wanted a ticket to go see RHCP for my bday for next summer, I snap accept, <3 The Chilli's.

Then 30 seconds later, oh wait, when is it ? obv late June, ah ok so it's pretty unlikely it'll clash with an Eng game as groups are done by then so doubt I'll run bad enough that a k/o game of ours would be on same day. Checked the perms and if England where to win there group then we'd be playing on the same day, sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, not sure what to do as there's no way I'd go if we where playing, and a tickets £50 as well

Think I've posted this itt before but abs love this song, dat guiter solo...
