Pretty uneventful session today, didn't make too many finals and did lots of min cashing, luckily of the few I did final I binked a win in both a 15 and an 8 so wasn't too bad a day. Sigh at losing a flip for a stack in my last game with 10 ppl left which was a 35.
Games today : 233
Loss today : $290.00
Games month : 1897
Profit month : $550.22
Vpp's month : 8844.19 (11956.54 left)
Currrent bankroll $4595.98
35's
Games today : 17
Loss today : $525.
Current bankroll : $878.80
Although results don't look to great for the month I'm pretty pleased with the small losing/winning sessions that I'm having as I feel I'm running pretty way below ev. Plus, obv it's a small sample size and overall results are good.
Although I'm not minding they hours I'm putting in to much, done 80-90 the last few weeks,
at the minute I pretty much never switch off from poker. I get up and have a bath then shove something in the oven and do stuff with wiz whilst it's cooking, eat then grind all day, then come on here, then go to bed.
Even when I go to bed and watch some tv I'm still thinking about poker, not so much about how the session goes but more just thinking about ranges in different spots with different stake sizes etc, then I think to myself "ffs give it a rest and concentrate on <insert tv show here>". I literally watched about 10 minutes of frozen planet last week where I hadn't took in a thing that the absolute legend that is Sir David Attenborough had said or what had happened as I was too busy thinking about shoving x% with xbbs from utg+3.
Also, instead of just falling asleep whilst watching tv I've been turning the computer off the last few nights and and just trying to go to sleep instead of waiting until I finally do, not sure if everyone else is like this but I always have to think of something to make me fall asleep, as in like I'm kick starting a dream then I'll fall asleep and it'll continue. Well, everytime I've done this for the last few weeks I keep thinking about the 10A million and binking the $2million, this is quite odd for me as I very rarely dream or think about winning huge sums of money, a large part of me actually hopes I never do as I'm not sure how well I would handle it. I'm not saying it wouldn't be nice, the problem is it might be too nice.
PS: Someone feel free to explain to me the usage of to & too btw, kthxbye
Ray, it's not for me to tell you how to live your life, so feel free to tell me to MMOB, but that cannot possibly be good for you, or your game.
Try taking a day a week away from poker, or, even better, without turning the computer on. You'll feel better in yourself, & play better for that little breather.
You gotta pace yourself.

Don't worry Tikay he's just on his annual last minute supernova mission.
Once that's sorted he'll take another 11 months off same as last year.

ROFLS, but yeah what Matt said. Thanks anyway though, but not much else I can do. I am having Fri/Sat off this weekend and looking forward to it.

You as well, was fun.
Live poker japes, I pop over and see tikay and Thewy on a 1/1 table so I soon get involved, ofc. Very first hand I find 77 and I tangle a little with some random, I knew his face as a local reg but never played with him before, so we get too showdown on a Axx8A board, he announces "I have 2 pair", then waits a bit and proudly flips over dem Aces, wp Sir wp, so com that this for abs no reason and with no history, I sure didn't berate him at every opportunity for the next half hour and obv slowroll him back as soon as I got the inevitable opportunity. I'm all for having a laugh whilst playing but seemed a bit ridic to do it first hand with no history just to be a knob. Clown.

the two pair aces and aces slowroll is a classic.
if it was a small pot i don't see the harm in it.

It was only an £80 pot or summit but just it wasn't done in jest, he was proper smug about it which knarked me. I knew it was off something then Longy reminded me it was Only Fools.

Yup, pretty gruesome stuff. He's a Newcastle regular, been around for years, & I'm not aware of any previous, but especially given the paired board, & how slow he was to turn his hand over, I was pretty sure he had a small pair. Then he flipped his Aces, oh how we all laughed.
A shame really, as it kinda killed the mood on the table.
I'm blaming him for the fact it was my first NLH Live cash in many a moon (& last, I hope), & it took me a whole hour to burn off £500 in some really daft spots.
Thewy calling me down on every street with an underpair to the board was the lowlight, sigh.

Don't know about lowlight but think that's pretty lowlife. What's happened to the guy. You chuck him a bone in the way of some sponsorship then the first chance he gets he tries to bite your hand off

Played 250 today and made a loss of about $150, pretty knackered off the session and got no brain power left to work out the exact numbers as it's a tiny bit complicated with the seperate roll, will post exact numbers tmoro, 8k vpps left to go. Two more grinds then two days off, looking forward to that.
