Yeah i just raced through all 5 series of breaking bad, can't help but think it should have ended after series 4...losing its edge.

Really?  I am pretty much exactly the opposite.  I enjoyed the first couple of series but I didnt love the show.  The last few seasons have been up that with the best shows though and last season was incredible.

Yeah I still think it's good!

My main beef is that the show went the only way it could really making the main char into something he would never ever become.

If Skylar gets slotted in the next 8 episodes  the show has ended well!

Three episodes deep into Ray Donovan; v. impressed so far.

I see the initial reviews have been good, but I'll wait it out and watch once the season is over.

Have enjoyed Hannibal and don't know the story (other than it's a prequel to Silence of the Lambs), so I have been allowed to be surprised every now and then.

Some of the acting is a bit...american...but it has otherwise been fun.

Waiting until that has a couple seasons under its belt before watching, too many in the backlog to get caught up in shows airing now.

I gave up on Hannibal after half a dozen episodes.
Found it really dull.
The murder scenes were graphic, but there was no tension or excitement.
And the worst thing was the Hannibal character's mumbling.
"What did he say?"
"No idea"

"No, still no idea."

You only saw up to episode six, Adam?

You havent seen B.A. Baracas turn up, then or the episode where Boy George appears as a good friend of the gang?

I just cant seem to get properly into anything at the moment.  I watched an episode of Hannibal and was fairly underwhelmed.  Watched the first episode of Ray Donovan and it was okay I guess but I can't say that I am desperate to watch the next episode.  Even Dexter isn't really compelling me to watch and it is more out of habit than anything else.  The last thing I really, really enjoyed was Romanzo Criminale although I have enjoyed Dates.  Can someone give me something that is going to restore my faith in the medium?

We're (I'm) still enjoying Human Target.  It's certainly cheesy and isn't as good as S1 with the intro of Mrs Pucci but it's watchable.  You'll be underwhelmed though, it's certainly not brilliant and I can see why there's only two series of it.  It's a bit like the A Team.

I've got loads on my drive to watch, but my old man has ploughed through them and he speaks pretty highly of these

Rome
Spartacus
Band of Brothers

He likes these

Grimm
Person of Interest
NCIS + (LA)

I've seen and think are definitely worth watching - Sons of Anarchy, Southland, The Good Wife and Justified

Although about 15 years old , This Life is well worth a watch.
One of the BBC's best ever dramas.

Edit..............Entourage another worth a visit.
