Watched season 1 of GoT in the last coupla weeks. Wasn't expecting much but really like it.. pretty tight story telling, immediately accessible..very good I'd say

GoT is really, really good - big sweeping storylines and immense production values, but also plenty of swearing, violence and naked ladies. It never forgets that it is a bit silly.

Ha. That last line is probably the other great thing in it's favour - just got to shadows stabbing people, giants, zombies & dragons - awesome really :-)

Tyrion Lannister might just be the greatest!

Yep, gotta love the half man - so many good characters tho and a great choice of breasts - sometimes both in one person

One last TV thought - I'm watching Homeland now like I watched the last series of Dexter. Saul as the main protagonist this season just makes it immensely dull I think

I'm one weak episode from giving up on it.

Anyone else watching Boardwalk Empire finding themselves doing wiki research to find out which bits of the story are true?

I've been doing that with Game of Thrones, ruins the enjoyment tbh

True story...

I'd never heard of GoT before I watched the first episode. Thought it was based in medieval times right up to the point they started going on about direwolves.

Stopped watching an episode later...probably about the same time and for the same reason AndrewT started enjoying it.

Just seen the last episode of the season of Boardwalk, not the ending I was rooting for at all but sets up well for season 5

It was an interesting one I thought.  Definitely not the big finish I expected but I thought it was exquisitely done.  Interesting interview with Terence Winter on Hitfix about the season if you like that kind of thing.

I was much the same after watching it, but then I thought the few episodes before were where the crazy stuff happened, and this was just tidying it up ready for the break.

Shame that it's so long before we get to see what's going to happen next...
