DLing twin peaks season 1 as i write. season 2 is worth watching? have heard it went downhill, and there's a movie as well???

TP did meander a bit in season 2 (when David Lynch didn't really have anything to do with it) but it picks up towards the end when he came back on board. Still worth watching though. The movie was a prequel and I think it's great, though it's more disconnected from the TV series than a lot of people were expecting (different actress playing Donna, for one) hence why it got a bit of a bashing on release.

thx, hard to find anything online about it without spoilers, enjoying it so far

Never got the ratings.

Agree that it's one of the best shows ever made.

Prob works much better on DVD than TV though. There's so many running jokes and storylines that unless you've watched from start to finish it can be hard to pick up. Show a random season 3 episode to someone who hasn't watched before and they won't have a clue what's going on and why it's supposed to be funny.

I agree a lot of the stuff looks back at what's happened previous...that's what makes it so good though

Plus portia Di rossi is amazing; can't believe she's a lesbian

We start "Lights Out," FX's terrific new boxing drama (which debuts Tuesday at 10 p.m.), in the dressing room after Patrick "Lights" Leary has just been dethroned as heavyweight champion of the world. He is unconscious and looks like his face just collided with a freight train that was covered in barbed wire, sandpaper and bits of broken glass.
