Any other ideas for what I should download from UK Christmas viewing from you guys?  currently dowloading Royle family....any other decent shows on this year?

I downloaded 50 greatest moments from the Olympics this morning http://eztv.it/ep/40697/olympics-2012-50-greatest-moments-hdtv-x264-ftp/

Haven't watched it yet, but imagine it will be a good watch and not something I'll tire of.....

I'd never really looked at the FX channel on Sky before (sin I know) but flicked past Family guy one night and noticed a couple of programs

If you liked Eastbound and Down, you may like Testees  It's on about 3am and I admit I only recorded it because of the name but it's silly like Eastbound/Sunny etc and worth a watch if you like that sort of thing.

Secondly I discovered Generation Kill - It's an HBO production based on the invasion of Iraq in 2003.  I'm only a couple of episodes in and am finding it a brilliant watch.  If you liked Band of Brothers, I'd suggest this.

Watched 'The Take' last night, a 4 part series which was on Sky back in 2009 starring Tom Hardy. Have to say I think it's my favourite work of his that I've seen and definitely worth watching if you haven't seen.

I can't speak highly enough of that man. He really could be Oscar material, especially now he's getting big roles.

Yes, could have been related to Ray Winstone's character in Nil By Mouth.

Finally got the chance to catch up with Charlie Brooker's 2012 Wipe. Still available on iPlayer.

As good as ever.

Will have all 7 seasons to work through shortly and I may give the 3 with Gary Webster a spin too.

Hugh Laurie might be back on the screens sooner rather than later too Smiley

'In what would be a major casting coup for NBC, the network is in talks with former House star Hugh Laurie to topline new action-adventure series Crossbones, from Luther creator Neil Cross and feature producers Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald. Unlike House, where Brit Laurie played an American, he would be able to use his normal British accent in Crossbones as he would play the notorious English pirate Blackbeard.

The 10-episode Crossbones is set in 1715 on the Bahamian island of New Providence, the first functioning democracy in the Americas, where the diabolical pirate Edward Teach, aka Blackbeard, reigns over a rogue nation of thieves, outlaws and miscreant sailors. Part shantytown, part marauder’s paradise, this is a place like no other on earth — and a mounting threat to international commerce.'

Has anyone seen Magic City as I thought I would give it a try.

It revolves around Miami mobsters  from Miami Beach in the late 1950s
