I, Claudius on bbc4 now.

This is incredibly pretentious bottom gravy.

Perhaps "of its time" is more appropriate.

Midway through s2 in the US, not much love on here but I think it's really good.

Saw there was some love for Parks and Rec earlier in thread - BBC4 are now showing this on Wednesdays at 10.

They're up to eps 5&6 of the first series, which I've liked, but all the talk about it was that the first 6 episodes are essentially just an extended pilot and that it really takes off from Season 2, so I'm getting stoked for that.

Also Mad Men new series starts on April 7th.

Parks and Rec is much better after the 1st season

Much more rounded writing. Funnier, bit darker.

If you like British Drama - 4oD has Top Boy with Asher Dee/Ashley Walters in it.

It's about a South London estate where two estate boys want to rise to the top and take over the drug trade.  It's also the story of a young boy who cares for his Mum before she is admitted to a mental hospital for recovery, and how he avoids care, and the care he is under as an alternative.

Will be surprised if this gets another season, ratings in the US are REALLY bad.

Enjoying Bluestone 42 on Beeb 3 at the moment. Three episodes in and building nicely to add some drama to the comedy.

Described on the BBC websites as an eight-part comedy drama about a British bomb disposal detachment in Afghanistan

This.

It is my favourite series ever made, period, pretty ridiculous with the Wire being around, but for the out of nowhere laughs, its there.

I think it is cheating a little to have a comedy set out in a mockumentary style, with me anyway, as it is set up to hit your funny bone out of the blue on so many occasions. US office, despite its lulls in some episodes was great for it and of course the holy grail, the original Office. Even Modern Family is a great watch because of it despite it being behind the aforementioned.

Ron Swanson is my all time favourite comedy character, somehow finding his way past David Brent. Believe me too that I am not taking how good the original office is lightly. Should probably be shot down for saying its better than the UK Office, and I will rewatch that to confirm, but I think I am sure.

Have the problem now, after watching every up to date episode of Parks and Rec, of withdrawal symptoms, but I think I will live Smiley

I don't do understatement very well generally, but I can't rave enough about this show. So AndrewT, I recommend you stick to the plan and continue watching Smiley
