I come with the truth.

- Amanda Righetti IS the hottest on TV, good call Ant. Although I did stop watching The Mentalist a couple of seasons ago as the same thing happened every week and it was always obvious who was the baddy each week really early on and nothing ever seemed to happen with the Red John story.

- The Vampire Diaries IS worth sticking with.

- Revolution isn't great and could be so much better, but the ep last week (the first after the break) was good and something very solid happened.

- I rarely get excited about TV but am absolutely buzzing for The Walking Dead finale tonight and the first ep of Game Of Thrones. 2 of the best 5 shows of recent times without a doubt.

If TWD finishes for the season tonight, I think I'll watch that after I have bowled through Californication.

Interesting the way the whole Klaus thing is starting to play out too don't you think m8?

See they're all getting their own series too and the backdoor pilot is the episode after this short break.

Overall I really enjoyed the 3rd season of TWD. I do think the final episode was a bit meh, it could have been so much more. It just seemed to cram too much in without delivering.

thought it would have been a double episode.... i have held off reading the comic books as i didnt want any spoilers but they need to move the story on in a wider sense..

A double episode would have been ideal.

Looking forward to Hannibal

Noticed it was coming, but I'm not taking any new shows on at present...

Will definitely get involved once there are a few seasons done, if it's good obv Smiley

As an episode I thought the TWD was great, but as a season finale it was a bit meh. Very much felt like it was another long mid season break than a finale.

Me and the gf have been enjoying Wallander. The Sweedish version. Well worth a look if you're into your detectivey stuff. Subtitles at the ready!

Re: TWD, I wondered whether they had decided to have such an innocuous finale to symbolise how bleak and inconclusive life on Earth is now. It's the kind of thing I think works better in film than as a TV series finale.

Didn't work for me, anyway.

Pretty certain it's because the ratings have been awesome and everyone loved the governor so much they wanted to drag that arc out for another series.

Yes, you're probably right. I remember reading they've had to react to criticism from wispy-beardy types that the TV show was straying from the comics too much and the writers decided to bring the Governor in to appease them. He's also got nastier during the series because of how horrible he is in the comics and the "purists" were only then appeased.

The writers have since implied he'll be back for the next series.

Funny that the two major characters are British and how common that is in US TV shows. House, The Wire and to a lesser extent Elementary...

I wasn't a fan of the guvernor at all until he became hard as nails.

It was the shrugging off of the glass in the eyeball thing that did it for me.

Since then he's gone on a strength to strength killing spree that only serves to solidify his position as a true bad ass!!

Homeland, TWD, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Spartacus, Game Thrones. All watched and all awesome. Need summat else equally awesome. Not the wire as watched a few epi's and wasn't feeling it.
