Too much thread to read so I'll just pop my favourites in.

Twin Peaks
Game of Thrones
Breaking Bad
Boardwalk Empire
The Office
Arrested Development
Girls
Parks & Rec
American Dad
Mad Men
House of Cards

Would like to get into the wire but there's too much for me to catch up on and I tend to get obsessive about tv shows and don't want to wait for the next episode if it's any good, so I figure I'll save it for if/when I get ill and am bed-bound.

Probably an unpopular opinion but I enjoyed Lost. Not enough to rewatch it (have seen first 5 season of Mad Men 3 times, now!) ever but I enjoyed the ride and actually quite liked the ending.

Sopranos??
24??

Never seen an episode of Sopranos. Would watch but it's not particularly high on my list.

Watched all of 24. Wouldn't watch again. I mean, ok, but got pretty boring and samey after a while. Samey can be fine - House was samey and I enjoyed what I watched of that, but it was pretty clever and sophisticated.

Definitely prefer American Dad to Family Guy.

What's that?

A two series BBC Three show about a group of animals in London. It's an adult show but the characters are puppets.

I can't do it justice by describing it. YouTube/iPlayer is your friend.

Seth McFarlane humour but inherently British. Great cast of voices as well.

Vince is just the greatest.

Absolutely loving Hannibal at the moment.

I can't help but laugh every time Lecter gets one of his recipe cards out.

Bit weird that it's set in modern times rather than sticking to the original time line but probably makes it better if anything.

Nope, fg jumped the shark a while back, ad only starting to jump the shark now, seasons 2-7 of ad were fantastic and the laughs/minute were much higher for me than any individual season of fg

Lost is my second fave all time show after 24 and I also thought the ending was great. Loved the twists, loved the characters, loved it when they changed allegences, loved the science vs faith stuff etc. Also thought Hurley and Sawyer had some of the best one liners on TV between them.

Definitely agree with all of this, bar my favourite show which is Friday Night Light and Eric Taylor >>> Jack Bauer

Lost is one of my favourite shows ever, have rewatched it and liked the ending too!

Not seen Twin Peaks, have seen the next 4 and haven't seen the last 6 on your list.

You're perhaps the only person I've ever talked to with the same opinion!

Twin Peaks is excellent but a little dated.

I wouldn't necessarily recommend the other 6, they're all excellent but in their own particular ways. Not everyone likes Mad Men, for instance - it's not plot-driven at all, it's character-driven. They work extremely hard on character development but if you need stuff to be happening and if you want to read into stuff that it's happening for a particular reason or suspect this means they're going in this or that way with the plot it's not for you.

Girls is also excellent, for example, but could be frustrating and seen as a bit puffy.

Parks & Rec is just downright hilarious. American Dad is up and down, when it's funny it's very, very good but it's dropped off significantly in parts where I assume the good writers are taking time off. Most of this season has been pretty rubbish tbh.

House of Cards took me a couple of episodes to get into but the acting is truly excellent.

I've actually got Mad Men and House of Cards to watch, but in the meantime I'm working my way through Bones and Vegas.

I watch some questionable shows myself, Vampire Diaries is one of my favourite shows and True Blood is very good too.

Actually have Parks & Rec on my PC too after seeing that Kidada Jones is in it, but again haven't gotten around to watching. Not seen American Dad or Family Guy though, and have an abundance of my own stuff to get through before loading up the drive with any more.

Without posting spoilers - was the latest GOT the last of the current series and if not, when is it?

I'm behind so I am going to do em all in one sitting when it's done.

Just watching Psyhobitches.

Genius.

The Sylvia Plath/Pam Ayres was a belly laugh moment
