FFS Marky you will never get to Love/Hate, Romanzo Criminale and everything else sitting on your hard drive.  Leave the nostalgia to those late night reruns of Lyla Garrity's, ahem, best moments....

Although given you brought the topic up....whats your interpretation of the ending?

Just finished it again too. So good!

My interpretation of the ending is - it achieved what it set out to do which is to keep us talking about it long after the end. I don't believe for one minute that he was killed and that Chase would have either written a film or bought the series back given time. Unfortunately the death of Gandolfini put pay to that.

I couldn't help it, I just felt obliged to stroll down memory lane when the great man passed away. I'm just finishing season 8 of Bones too, so will get onto a new show once I'm done with that.

I think they left it ambiguous for the reasons bobalike has mentioned, they wanted everyone to be talking about the ending, and also it left things open to the possibility of a movie .

However, I did some reading after watching the final episode a few times, and have to say that I think he was slotted in the diner 100%

Yeah I have read about it too and think he was killed too.  The best explanation i have ever read is http://masterofsopranos.wordpress.com/the-sopranos-definitive-explanation-of-the-end/.  In fact from the overall perspective of how deep some of these programmes are and how you can watch them on different levels it is very good.

Yeah, I read up some similar stuff on some other sites, albeit not as deep as that. I get quite into shows, but the levels some people go to are insane Cheesy

I just don't buy into all this over thinking. Maybe I'm just a cynical old fool. Yes you can really glean lots of little references to the death of Tony but I'm sure there are as many references to him not dying.

Chase really did know what he was doing when he ended the show that way and fare play to him.

I just enjoy the shows for what they are, have a little think about what has gone on and then just move to the next one.

I remember when Lost finished, some people went absolutely mental. A lot of people I know were moaning, because every little question that had arisen throughout the 6 seasons hasn't been answered.

I had never been that worried about getting answers to everything, I just enjoyed the ride, the characters and how their relationships all developed over the course of it.

Was it hard to follow? Yes, did I get confused multiple times? That didn't detract from how enjoyable the journey was, and the ending certainly didn't leave me feeling shortchanged like some.

There's a wonderful "Peanuts" cartoon that pretty much describes what I'm talking about: Snoopy is on the top of his doghouse and he writes something like, "A frigate appeared on the edge of the horizon. The King's extravagances were bankrupting the people. A shot rang out. The dulcet voice of a guitar sounded at the window." Then he turns and looks at the reader and says, "In the last chapter I'm going to pull all this together!"

Lost forgot that last little bit
