Do you agree with Rooney's comments recently that you can't be classed as a true great unless you win the World Cup ?
Nope - that's a ridiculous comment, some fantastic players haven't played in a World Cup because they play for smaller countries. Messi's the best in the world right now, destroying teams ie his hat-trick last night, but he's still young and got time on his hands to get into the best ever frame. Great chance to showcase his abilities at the World Cup. Rooney's outstanding & if he's to leave Utd I'd love to see him beside Messi at Barca, but I've still got Messi as the No 1, probably Ronaldo as No 2 (in more ways than one) then Rooney. This.

Messi is almost certainly the best currently playing
best ever?
In no particular order, but all with a better claim to the title than Messi
George Best Cruyff (Johann, not Jordi) Zidane Pele Beckenbauer Duncan Edwards - my dad's view, he saw him play.
strangely you missed out the greatest player of all time form your list. Cherno Samba? PMSL. You are forgetting Anastasios Skalidis, To Madeira and Maxim Tsigalko. Surely the holy trinity. Real life is overrated.

He's still behind Mazzadona who pretty much single handedly won the world cup.
They are very similar though, can't wait for the world cup, true measure of greatness imo.
Don't agree with this anymore tbh. The CL has a far higher calibre of player and football.

Me, Brent and few other friends used to have this little bookpad to write players down and stuff so we remembered them for future games. It then got known as the 'Champ Manager Bible'. It is legendry within our group, and will enjoy reading the little pad in years to come. Many comedy stuff wrote down and Positions to formation and value etc. loooool. Also, you forgot Hadzemovic and Aghahowa (incred) [ ] also is in real life.

Ibrahim Said - what a centre half. I currently play the 03/04 champ man. Anybody know if Supat Rungratsamee is likely to break into the Pompey team anytime soon?

Can't be bothered to search but wasn't Anastasios Skalidis a completely fabricated footballer? I swear I remember a friend of mine saying that one of the greek scouts/researchers they used had just put him in for a laugh.

From what I recall a Greek programmer or two were getting the boot. So on Champ 01/02 v69 (which you had to download an update for) they booted a few regs such as To Madiera and shipped in the "super Greeks". Skalidis played for Greek lower division side Chania (you wont even find Chania without the v69 update) he's worth 10k and starts with about ten 20 ratings and is easily the best player ever on champ. Loads of players weren't real though even before that.
